The meeting was called to order by the President Geo E Hanson
Members present Hanson Frandsen Moe and Wilson
Member absent Reiss
Minutes of the Council meeting held Dec. 511945 were read.
Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that the minutes stand approved
as read.

Motion by Frandsen seconded by Moe that permission be granted the
Northern States Power Co to install poles andwiresin conform—
ance with its request # 2395.

A letter from the Golden Valley Golf Club asking #4e Council for
permission to play Bingo: was read.
The Golden Valley Golf Club letter was referred to the Village
attorney.
A copy of the letter writtin to the County Auditor's office by
Mr Elstad) resigning as assistant assessor was read and filed.
Motion by Frandsen seconded by Moe that the resignation of Lester
Elstad be accepted.

The president opened the hearing on the proposed storm sewer in
Sewer District #1. 1
A letter from Lametti and Lametti stated that they decided to
withdraw their bid for the construction od a storm sewer in
Sewer Distriet # 1,
A delagation of adjoili g taxpayers appeared. The following spoke
a inst it: Mr Slavin, Re Caseys Mr To-lgo ALr Leber, Mr Thorness
rGreen) -11,r Roy Witt, Mr Arvid Johnson, Philip Johnson and
Nester Johnson.
Mr StTong) attorney for Mr Elstrom spoke in favor.
The Village Attorney sugested that the matter be referred to a
committie and lay over until the last Council meeting in Febr.
Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that the Storm sewer matter
be tabled until the first Council meeting in May

A letter from Lester Johnson was read and filed.
Motion by 4�ilson seconded by Moe that whereas the next regular
meeting ogf the Council would regulary be Jan.111946 that because
of that date being a holiday the next regular meeting of the
Golden Valley Council beheld Jan.2;1946 at 8 P.M.

Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that the Police officers of the
Village of Golden Valley be and they hereby are authorized to
encumber Village funds of gas ,oil ,and repairs for police car
not however to exceed $125.00 per month.

Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that the Council accept the
resignation of Mrs Finn from the Planning Commission.

The President refferred the Everett Frandsen filling station application
to the chairman of the license committee.
ApplicaVions for a 3.2 on sale and 3.2 off sale licenses for Perry
Woodfill were read,
The President turned over his gavel to Mr Moe and stepped down from
the platform. Mr Hanson asked Nir Moe chairman of the license committee
not to recommedd the Woodfill licenses.
Mr Mosher spoke against issuing beer licenses to Perry Woodfill.
Mr. Moe chairman of the license committie recommended that the
Woodfill licenses be granted.
Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that 3.2 on sale and 3.2 off sale
licenses be granted to Perry Woodfill.

Arno Denzin, road supervisor, recommended that the Council purchase
one.Wausau Model B-31-45 snow plow. . I
Motion by Frandsen seconded by Moe that the Village Council of Golden
Valley acceptthe bid of the Geo T Ryan 00 for the purchase of the
following descttbdd snow pow: One Wausa Model B 31-45 High Speed
rigid blade snow pow as per attached specifications with hand
hydraulic controls and complete with underframe hitch. Price
mounted and delivered Golden Valley) Minn. $361-50.

Capt McGinnis reported that there were two trucks and a cement
mixer on the La Zerty property
The Village Attorney gave Mr La Zerty 10 days in which to remove
all his equipment.
Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen to adopt the following resolution:
"Whereas) the Council of the Village of Golden Valley deem it
necessary and desirable that a public park be established within the
Village limits of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota) and
Whereas, the Council of the Village of Golden Valley deem most
suitable for said purpose the following described land: Lots 391,
393, 394, 397p 404, 405 and 406, "Belmont", Hennepin County, Minn.
Now, therefore, be it rdsolved by the Council of the Village of Golden
Valley that the Villagetak6 by proper condemnation proceedings the
lands hereinbefore described and that arthur T Nelsons its attorney
take legal steps and proceedings to accomplish said condemnation as
in such cases by law provided and that the proper officers of the Village
of Golden Valleyexcute and sign all pleadings and proceedingsby law
required and pay from the funds of said Village not otherwise

appropriated such sums as by law shall be awarded to the owners
of the above described premises for the taking thereof:
