Minutes of the Council meeting held May 7,1946 were read.
Motion by Frandsen seconded by Wilson that the minutes stand approved
as read.

Notion by Frandsen seconded by Wilson that the minutes stand approved
as read.

Motion by Frandsen seconded by Wilson to grant the Northern States
Power Ce permission to erect two poles on Douglas Ave north of
County Road # 70

A letter from the Planning Commission was read and filed.
Paul Enghauser a member of the Planning Commission r6commended that y
no changes or admendments be made to the building code.
Motion by Wilson seconded by Frandsen that the ordinance entitled "
An ordinance amending an ordinance relating ti the use and sale of
non- intoxicating malt liquor providing for special Golf Club licenses
be given it's 2nd readin and placed upon its final passage.

The clerk gave the 2nd reading of the above ordinance.

Motion by Wilson seconded by Frandsen to grant off sale liquor license^P
to G.C. Florida, Rae Locketz, Mrs Lucille Radiseh, Iver Stanger, and
Clara J Schuller.

A letter from the Glenview Terrace Improvement Ass'n asking for "Stan
signs " was read.

Motion by Frandsen seconded by Xilson that the letter be referred to
the Cantain of Police.

A letter from Carl I Nelson, pretesting his new assessment was read.
The clerk was instructeel t�F.wr-.te Mr Nelsen informing him of the date
of the Board of Equalization meeting.
A letter requesting the vacating of Raleigh Ave and the ally in block
4 of the sub division known as Kavlis Cedardale was read.

Motion by Frandsen seconded by Wilson that a hearing on the vacating be held
June 4, 1946 at 8 o'clock P.M.

Shortly after the meeting started Harold Swenson appeared and took his
seat as president of the Council.
A letter from Henry J Shimpack asking for the .repairing of 26th Ave No was
read.
The president refirred the letter to Mr Frandsen, chairman of the road Comm—
ittee, end asked him to get in touch with the authorities in Robbinsdale.
A petition to oil Meadow Lane, signed by approximetly 83 signers was read.
Mr Frank Slevin, C Witt and Mr Arason spoke in favor of the petition.
The president referred the petition to Mr Frandsen, chairman of the road
committie.
Ur Neldon read a letter from the Hghwy Dept. in regard to sodium lights
on the Belt line hghwy and at the enterance to Tyrol Hills.
Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that the Village Council request the
hghwy `'ept. to regulate the speed on--Qlson Hghwy.

There was a discusion on the behaveor of oeonle in the road side narking
areas.
Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that the raodside narking areas
be closed j hour after sunset.

The Village attorney was instructed to communicate with the hghwy dust
as to what the state would do in regard to the regulation of road side areas.
Mr. Frandsen chairman of the road committee annouced that riding stable
horses were damaging village roads.
Motion by Moe seconded by Nilson that the matter be referred to a committee
appointed by the president.

permission to duffp dirt in the Village park area on Harold Ave.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN
ORDINANCE RELATING TO
THE USE AND SALE OF NON -
INTOXICATING MALT LIQUOR
PROVIDING FOR SPECIAL
GOLF CLUB LICENSES
The Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That Sectiop 21 of an
ordinance relating to the use and sale
of non -intoxicating malt liquor passed
March 28, 1933, and being an ordinance
known as No. 29 of the compilation of
ordinances and by-laws dated December
1, 1941, be amended by adding to Section
21 thereof the following:
"The Village Council may grant a
license for a period of six (6) months
to the operators of any established
golf club upon the payment of one-
half of the fees provided for "on -sale"
license."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in
force and effect from and after its passage
and publication.
