Minutes of the Council meeting held June 4,1946 were read.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Mee that the minutes stand approved as
read.

& ally in Kavli's Cedardals be taken from the table.

Mr Paul Enghauser present -a new petition to vacate the above strait
and ally.
Motion by Wilson seconded by Reiss that a hearing on the vacating
be held July 2, 1846 at 8 o'clock.

A letter from H.Y Kindseth, chairman of the Platt committee in regard
to the proposed subdivision called Glendale was read,

by the platt committee of the Planning Commissionr,

Mr Dudley Erickson asked the Council for permission to continue mith
the building of his home. %1-1
ftf Swan Erickson ®eked the Council to decide the house front in
Lawn Terrace.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen that the bldg permit issued
by the Bldg inspector to Mr Dudly Erickson be approved and satisfied
by the Village Council

Mr Mat Thompson appeared before the Council and asked permission to
b�ild a 12x13 tool house in Lake View Heights,
*an Erickson announced that he was acting under a restraining o er
from the Village Attorney against small auxilary bldgs

points of the Bldg Inspector, and suggested that he work out a new plan it
with the Bldg Inspector
Mr. Morris Leiderman asked the Council for permission to build only
a 20z 24 garage on lot 3 at Zenith Ave North
Ewan Erickson stated that he didn't object to Mr Leiderman bldg a$1100.UU
garage but he saw no need of a garage without a building
The President instructed Mr Leiderman to submit plans for a house and garge
to the Bldg inspector, and announced that the Council would uphold the
decision of the Bldg Inspector
Mr Karl Gronvold owner of lots 305 and 306 at the Corner of 4th Ave and
Archibald, told the Council that a sewage tilt was empting in the earner of
his lots.
The President announedd that he and the Village attorney would look it
ever.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen to adopt the following resolution

ution was duly rade, seconded and unanimously carried:
BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Golder. Valley grant permission
to C. F. T�iitt to black top that portion_ of the road from I`ourth Avenue, also
kn oz, -m as Poplar Drive on :=eadow Lane, to Glenwood Avenue, said black toppintr
to cover the full width of said road and to be in accordance with standard
specifications as set down by the ;::innesota State highway Department. It

beim, further her understood and agreed that the cost thereof shall be benne
solely by said C. F. mitt and that a copy of this resolution be mailed to
C. F. ',Vitt and the J. -yo. Craig Constrve s _ Company, 18#4 California Street
IT.E'., hinneapolis, IYiinnesota, the contractor selected by C. F. ""itt to perform
said work, and that said C. F.";vitt and the J. :I. Crain Construction Company
be requested to acsnowledge in writing that they expect no compensation or
reimbursement for said work from the Village of Golden Valley.

A letter $mom the Civil Sergice Commission was read and filed
The Matter of the Elstrom property was taken up by the Council. The
President recommended into the minutes that Mr Ilstrom was filling n
his property and the amount filled in is shown in photographs taken
and dated June 1946

the Mple Northfield & Southern R.R. for new plankings on the D street

at the Planning Commission meetings

Mr. Rydmark, speaking for the Pla ening Commission committee, recommended
that Mr Moser's request for a tempary cement block factory be granted
and. that Mr Moser furnish a compketion bond to cover the condition ii
which the area will be left at completion of excavating and that grade
levels be res -established.
Mr. Swan Erickson reported that his committee was in favor of rezenirg
the Moser property to community Store area.
Motion by Reiss seconded Mme that the date for a public hearing on t7e
petition to rezonepart of the Moser pr operty to community store area
be set for July 16,1946 at 8o'olock P.M.
