Motion by Moe seconded by Reiss that the minutes stand approvedas
read.

read.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Mae that the minutes stand approved
as corrected.

on tax assessments were read.

Mr Chari., from the Minn Hghwy Dept descused the roadside parking
areas with the Council, and announced that the Hghwy dept ordered
the removal of tables and fire places at Nob Hill and the lower a
area along the R.R. tracks at Turners X Road and installing 10 BU
curfew signs in all roadside paring areae.
Mr Chard requested the Council to notify the Hghwy dept before it
accepts any platts west of the Belt line on 6th Ave No.
kr Penny asked the Council to have Plumbers furnish a bond to the
Village.
The Village attormey was instructed to look into this matter in the
neighboring villages
A letter from the Golden Valley Civic League Inc. requesting the
the Council to oppose construction of a vroposed airport in
Plymouth township was read and filed.
Motion by Moe seconded by Reiss that the Village attorney write the
Minn State Aronactical commission to withhold licensing the proposed
airport in Plymounth & Minnetonka Township and request a member
of the commission to be present at the next council meeting

Motion by Reiss seconded by Moe that the General outline of Mr
Dugans Platt is tentively accepted subject to corrections and
objections of the Platt committee of the Planning Commission

Noble Grove Platt is tentively accepted.

An application for temporary rezoning of the Moser property fora
cement block factory was read.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Moe that a public hearing on the
temporary rezoning of the Moser property be held July 16,1946

The president opened the hearing on vacating Raleigh Ave and the ally
in Block 4 of the sub -division known as Kavli's Cedardale.
No one appeared against the vacating
Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen to adopt the following resolution,
" Whereas petition of a majority of the owners of real proper=ty frdtting
on the line of Raleigh Ave and the allyy in Block 4 of the sub divifon
known as Kavli's "edardale requesting vacation of said street and ally
has been duly filed with the Village Council and said, Council has rmet
at the time and place specified in a notice embracing a copy of said
petition duly published and posted and has heard all interested
persons and it appears in the interest of the public that said petition
of said street and alley be vacated.
Be it resolved by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley
that Raleigh Ave and the alley in Block 4 of the sub division known
as Kavli's Cedardale as the same is now dedicated and laid out within
the corporate limits of said villaa be hereby vacated.

ordinance entitled " An ordinance to regulate the openings of Gravid
Pits and requiring a bond and provinding a penalty for violation thereof

The Village attorney read the above ordinance.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Moe that the above entitled ordinance be
referred to the planning commission.

Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen that the first reading be given
the ordinanee for safeguarding perso4s and property and promoting the
welfare of the public creating the office of electrical inspector
and prescribing his duties, rights and authority, establishing
standards for electrical equipment and for its instalation and regir-
ing conformity therewith, making it unlawful to undertake the install-
ation of electical equipment without a permit therefore, except as
otherwise provided , providing penalties for the violation of this -dr
ordinnace and repealing all ordinances and parts of ordinance in con -
flit with this ordinance.

ordinance entitled " An ordinance limiting the use of domestic water
from Village mains in the Village of Golden Valley"

The clerk gave the 2nd reading of the above ordinance.
The Village attorney advised tha Bldg Inspector to issue a permit
to the Catholic Church for the erection o$f a Barrack church Bldg
at Wayzata Blvd and the Belt Line.
Motion by Russ seconded by Moe that Hub Nelson be appointed const6ble
to fill the unexpired term of Jack Smith. erm to expire Dec.31,1947.

AN ORDINANCE LIMITING THE
USE OF DOMESTIC WATER
FROM VILLAGE MAINS IN THE
VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY
The Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley do ordain as follows:
Section 1. That after the passage of this
ordinance, the use of domestic water from
Village Water Mains for sprinkling lawns
or gardens shall be prohibited between the
hours of 3:00 o'clock p.m. and 8:00 o'clock
P.M.
Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be in force
and effect from and after its passage and
publication.
