The meeting was called to order by the President Harold W Swenson
Members present Swenson Frandsen Feiss Moe Wilson.
Minutes of the Council meeting held Oct 1,1946 were read.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Moe that the minutes stand approved
as read.

Motion by Moe seconded by Reiss to grant Robert Anderson permission
to lay cable for electric service to lights.at the enterance to
Tyrol Hills

Mr Crosby appeared before the Council in regard to his removing of
a storm sewer across his land on Popular Drive.
Mr Dilger objected to the storm sewer.
The President offered to investigate and determine who's res—
pondibility it was.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Moe to accept the preliminary platt
of Baldwin City View.

A letter from Fire chief Shuttleworth announcing that the fire
dept.no longer were able to provide fire protection for Golden
Valley, due to the lack of a water supply and a heated building,
was read and filed.
A #94tep petition with 14 signatures objecting to the erection
of a fire station on the Belt Line was read and filed.
The President called for bids on truck tires
The following bids were received
1. Golden Valley Motors in the sum of $255.18
2. North Side Firestone Dealers Inc. in the sum of 255.18
3. Seidel Tire & Supply in the sum of 4267.60
Motion by Wilson seconded by Reiss to accept the bid of the Golden
Valley Motors for 6 32/6 — 10 ply tires at $255.18 a standard grade
of tire subject to specifications of the road supervisor.

The President called for bids on drilling a 6" well.
The following bids were received.
1. Joe La Rocque bn the sum of $1050.00 well 200' deep
2. Mike W ce in the sum of $5.00 per foot.
Motion by Moe seconded by Reiss that the well drilling bids be tabled

Motion by Reiss seconded by Moe that the resignation of kr Lovering
as civil Service Commissioner be accepted and the clerk be instructed
to write Mr Lovering expressing reget and thanking him for his ser—
vices to the Village Police and Fire Dept.

Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen that the resiggation of Mrs Beal
from the Planning commission be accepted and that the clerk write and
thank Mrs Beal for her work on the P anning Commission and other affairs

A letter from the P-anning Communion was read and filed.
A letter from Mr Sweet in regard to the Ottawa Ave Road was read and filed
Motion by Frandsen seconded by Reiss that Chris Nelson road be referred
to the Planning Commission.

Motion by Reiss seconded by Frands-n that the deeds be kept on file
pending t1}e action of the Panning Commission.

on Nov.5,1946 the next regular Council meeting will be held Nov.6,1946

The Village Attorney reported that the Moser gravel pit bonds were
not satifactory and that the Clerk inform Mr Moser to contact Mr Nelson

A petettion presented by Cleo Kennedy and Fred Wright to vacate a
Dart of June Ave was read.
Motion by Moe seconded by Reiss that a hearing on the vacating be
hold Nov. 6,1946 ,

The Attorney recommended letting of the Insurance policies at the next
Council meeting
Motion by Reiss seconded by Wilson that the Glendale Platt be accepted
subject to the installation of guard rails.

Swan Erickson asked the Council to appoint a plumbing inspector
Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that Mr Elstad shall be appointed
electrical inspector and Yr Shuttleworth chief electrical inspectors.
Electrical inspectors shall receive 601,�of the total fee collected
and the other 4O% going to the Village
