The Council of the Village- f Golden VFlley met
as a board of tax review at the Village Hall at 8:15 P.1�i.
Monday, June 28, with the foll,: winE members present:
President Cor.dner, Trustees Frandsen, Pinch, Putnam and
Reiss.
1Ir. Einar Lee, Village Assessor, explained in
general the work of the Assessor's office, the manner in
,vhich full and true valuation figures are established,
and presented comparative figures on Golden Valley annual
valuations and mill rates of surroundin~ suburbs.
A number of interested taxpayers appeared at the
meetin;�; an'_ directed ruestions from the floor.
Mr. Lee stated that he would establish valuations
based on those set up by the State reassessment. He
reported that 1948 building valuations would be established
at an approximate 20% reduction from the va'uationa appear-
ing on the 1945 statement for taxes collectible in 1946.
It was explained that properties having previously
received this deduction would be assessed at very ne-6z ly
the same figure as in 1947.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen was approved
to adjourn the meeting of the Board of Review to July 26
at 7:30 P.M. at the Village Hall.
