Mr. H. J. Lees, Radio Supervisor of KANN, Hennepin County
Sheriff's radio, together with two deputy sheriffs appeared before
the council to present information on their radio facilities.
Mr. Lees reviewed the contract offered to suburban areas and
stated at present Robbinsdale, Hopkins, Deephaven, City of Anoka
and Anoka County were on their hookup. It was reported that
their dispatcher now monitors all city and state calls, and in
addition has a direct telephone contact to the city dispatcher
making it impossible for any calls to be missed if Golden Valey
were to join. Mr. Lees stated that under the present system if the
Golden Valley car is out of operation or the Mizineapolis dispatcher
is unable to reach it, emergency tails are transferred to the
Sheriff's dispatcher. He contended that fewer calls (approxi-
mately 275 in a 24-hour period) going out over their service
together with the fact that any one of their care might be so
situated as to assist would improve the efficiency of the radio
service. It was determined that it would be necessary to publi-
cize the change in number to facilitate receiving: -calls from the
area.
Motion by Pinch was seconded by Frandsen andapproved granting
permission to B. A. Shuttleworth to operate a dump on his
premises on the basis of his covering the rubbish wlt±hdirt
as the fill progresses, and his filing a bone guaranteeing compli-
ance with the terms of the ordinance covering dumping.

Council in behalf of the Watchtower Bible Tract Society. Motion
by Frandsen was seconded by Putnam and approved granting the
use of the hall to the Watchtower Society from 1:30 to 3:30

presented a map indicating proposed master rezonings. Follow-
ing discussion of changes in the vicinity of the village
hall it was agreed that the committee would modify the
suggested plan for presentation at the next meeting.
Mr. Lee C. Smith, requesting information on the senti
ment of the council re gardingrezoning at the Northeast
corner of the intersection of 19th Avenue and the Belt
