12-21-48 City Council Minutes2'79 December 21, 1948 Pursuant to ,due call a regular meeting of the Vilge Council of Golden Valley was held at the Village Hall on Tuesday, December 21 at 7: 30 P .111. Present were President Staeel, Trustees Frandse.z, Pinch and Putnam; absent; Trustee Reiss. Minutes of the December 8 meeting were read and on motion by Pinch seconded by Frandsen approved. Yr. Carl Hipp opened discussion of additional pletting West of the Belt Line and South of 19th Avenue, and was requested to bring the information to the Planning Commission. Following the reading of a proposal of December 15 from L. W. Peterson and Sons, motion by Pinch me seconded by Frandsen and carried, authorizing them to insule.te the ceiling of the main garagearea of the fig:e: station at an. total net cost of w579.70 and in view; of the urgency, to request them to commence wtork as soon as possible. There followeddiscussion of the advisability ofcontrolling commercial development particularly adjacent to the proe)osed site of the new ball park.
