November 8, 1950
The Village Council of the Village of Golden 'galley, Minne-
sota, met in regular session in the Village Mall in said
Village on 1ovember 8, 1950, at 7:30 o'clock P.M.
The following members were present: Pinch, Putnam, Stark,
Stasel and Reiss, and the following were absent: none.
Motion by Putnam seconded by Reiss carried to approve the
minutes of the October 17 meeting.
Letters dated November 6 from Golden Oaks Company were
read informing that the streets in Golden Oaks First Addition
had been blacktopped and requesting release from bond, and in-
forming that Golden Oaks Second Addition had been gravelled '
and requesting acoeptance of streets by the Village, and pre-
senting a petitbn for blaoktopping streets in Golden Oaks
Second Addition. Motion by Reiss seconded by Pinch carried
that Council members inspect the roads in the Golden Oaks First
and Second Additions prior to the next meeting before taking
action on the first two letters, and that the petition for
blaektopping of the streets in the Second Addition be postponed
until the next meeting.
Mr. Isaacson, owner of a lot on the east side of Ottawa
AvenueS., requested issuance of a building permit in order that
he may proceed with construction of a house. Motion by Reiss
seconded by Pinch carried authorising the building inspector
to issue a building permit to Hr. Isaacson, which permit will-
be
ilybe subject to presentation of a survey and deeds to be submitted
At the next meeting for the dedication and reconveyance of
property located between the present property line and the ser-
vice road, in a manner similar to *M* those for the 751felt and
Fudge properties handled at the October 17 meeting.
Mr. Hardenbergh of HumphrVry and Hardenbergh, architects,
presented three proposed sketches for remodeling the front of
the Village Hall and also presented estimated costs. The plans
were referred to a building committee composed of Putnam,
Stark and Terzioh to look into and make a recommendation at the
next meeting on November 21.
Mrs. Sterling W. Callander, 3337 86th Avenue N., Y. Marin -
cel, 3405 26th Avenue X., and Walter Wold, 340T 26th Avenue X.,
appeared and requested Council action in assisting them in ob-
taining clearance to tie into the Robbinsdale sewer. Notion
by Putnam seconded by Reiss carried instructing the village
attorney to prepare the necessary papers to allow the above
three applicants to make the connection with the Robbinsdal e
sewer, Ruch agreement to be satisfactory to.the City of Robbins -
dale and to the Village, with the understanding that such agree-
ment will not be binding on Golden Valley as regards the City
of Minneapolis requiring the Village to begin payment on the
