03-11-58 Special MeetingIr. SPECIAL MEETING of the VILLAGE COUNCIL March 11, 1958 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Golaen Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota was held at 8030 Olson Memorial Highway in said Village on March 11, 1958, at 7.30 o'clock P. M. The following members were present: Bies, Flannagan, Scherer, Teres.; and the following was absent. None. Mayor Nadasdy arrived at 10:15 o'clock P. M. The Acting Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:!40 o'clock P. M. Present were Acting Village Clerk and Administrator Donald Sorensen, Sewer and Vater Superintendent Donald Spaulding, Village Attorney Stanley Kane, Special Assessment Clerk Robert Burns, Deputy Clerk Helen Penniman, Con- sulting Engineer Robert J. Huston -Jr. Pablic Hearing-Sani tEZ lateral Sewer Improvement 58-L.Pr The Clerk presented an affidavit showing publication in the official news- paper of a notice of public hearing on certain public improvements descri- bed in the resolution of this Council relating thereto adopted on February 18, 1958• Said affidavit was then examined, approved and ordered filed in the office of the Village Clerk. :Said affidavit related to Lateral Sani- tary Sewers - Project No. 58-L.F. (l, 6, 19, 20A and 21). The Acting Igor then announced that the meeting was open for public hear- ing on said proposed public improvements and further that the meeting was open for continued and further public hearing on certain other proposed public improvements, first considered at a public hearing held on February 4.. 1958, and on that date,"continued to February 6, 1958, and on the latter date continued to this date. Said continued public hearing related to Lateral Sanitary Sewers - Project No. 58-L.F. (l, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 141 15, 15A, 17 and 18). All present to do so were afforded opportunity to express their views on all of said proposed public improvements.. The Acting for declared the public hearing closed. Member Teresi then introduced the following resolution and M)VED its adop- tion; "RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF AND DIRECTING PREPARATION OF FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFCATIONS FOR .LATERAL SEWER IMPROVEMENT (Project No. 58-L.F.) The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Flannagan,. and upon vote being taken thereon, the following members voted in favor thereofs Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Clerk. See Resolutions Book Page c f Member Teresi then introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adop- tion- RRESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A LATERAL SANITARY SEWER INPROVEMM (LATERAL SANITARY SEMS - PROJECT ' NO. 58-L.F. 10, 11, 22, 23 and 24) The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolutions was duly seconded by Member Flannagan and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofs Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer and Teresi; and the following voted against the samer None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Clerk. See Resolutions Bonk Page ®4>. Automatic Voting Machines, Mr. Robert T. Maness Mt. Robert T. Waves, representative of the Automatic Voting Machine Corp- oration, presented a complete Mitten report regarding the above referenced matter, dated March.6, 1958. Said report was ordered planted on file in the Clerk's office. The Council took no action. Request to advertise for bids for Sewer Truck and E_g4pT ntr Mr. Den Spaulding, Sewer and Water Superintendent, appeard and presented estimates and costs dated March 11, 1958, for said truck and equipment. 42 Special Meeting of the Village Council March 11, 1958 The estimates were read and placed on file in the Clerkts office. The Council deferred the matter to the meeting of March 18,-1958. Said claim was ordered placed on file in the Clerk's office. MVED by Flannagan seconded by Scherer carried to deny the above refer- enced claim. Assessment Poligy Rea Weavewood C2!EEZt The Village Council approved the Village Attorneys action agreeing to cond- itions for assessing fif the. Weavewood property as. stated in a letter from the.Village Attorney to Mr. Peter F. Greiner, dated February 26, 1958, and further agreed that the same policy for assessing would'apply to the remain- der of the Lateral Sewer betwen Pennsylvania Avenue and Rhode Island Avenue South.
