VILLAGE COUNCIL
February 24, 1959
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Village
Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, was
held at 7840 Sixth Avenue North, in said Village on February 24, 1959, at
8:15 o*clock P. M.
The following members were present: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer
and Teresi; and the following was absent: None.
Present were Village Clerk and Administrator, Roger K. Ulstad; Village
Attorney, Stanley D. Kane; Village Engineer, Donald Sorensen; Sewer and
Water Superintendent, Donald Spaulding; Deputy Clerk, Helen Penniman;
Vice President of Water Commission, Ray Sheehan, Jr.; President of Park
Board, Ray B. Stockman; Vice President of Park Board, John W. Byrnes;
Secretary of Park Board, Ray G. Petersen; Planning Commission member,
Hyman Shinder.
Preliminary Park Plan for Golden Valley:
Mr. Ray Stockman, President of the Park Board, presented a preliminary
estimate of proposed Park improvements, dated February 24, 1959.
MOVED by Teresi seconded by Flannagan carried to approve the preliminary
plans as submitted by the Park Board.
Water Survey - Orr-Schelen:
Mr. Harry Mayeron, representative of Orr-Schelen, presented plans, maps
and a report on Water Survey for the Village. Mr. Ray Sheehan, Jr.,Vice
President of the Water Commission discussed the plans with the Council.
A lengthly discussion followed. Mr. Harry Dye, President of Pako Corp-
oration agreed to contact other industry in the Village regarding the need
for water.
MOVED by Scherer seconded by Bies carried to adjourn the meeting at 10:30
o*clock P. M.
