SPECIAL MEETING
of the
VILLAGE COUNCIL
November 10, 1960
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Village
Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, was duly held at
7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village on Thursday, November 10, 1960,
at 8:00 P. M.
The following members were present: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, and Teresi;
and the following was absent: Scherer.
Present were Village Manager and Clerk, Roger K. Ulstad; Village Attorney,
Stanley D. Kane; Police Chief, Everett Frandsen; Fire Chief, Al Hanover.
Fiscal Advisor's Contract:
Council discussed the renewal of the contract with Mr. T. G. Evensen as
Fiscal Advisor for the Village.
MOVED by Flannagan seconded by Teresi carried to approve and sign the
contract for Fiscal Advisor as submitted by Mr. T. G. Evensen. Said
contract was ordered placed on file in the Clerk's office.
Re: France Avenue Interchan e•
Council discussed the France Avenue Interchange at length.
Member Teresi introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
"RESOLUTION REGARDING CONSTRUCTION OF TRUNK HIGHWAY #12•,
(Opposition to .Extension of France Avenue)
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Flannagan and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following
members voted in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, and Teresi;
and the following voted against the same: None,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by
the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Village Manager and Clerk.

Contract for Addition to Village Gari
MOVED by Bies seconded by Flannagan carried to approve the contract with
Rosegren Construction Company for the construction of an addition to
the Village Garage. Said contract was ordered placed on file in the
Clerk's office.
Salary Schedule for Light & Heavy Eauinment Operators•
MOVED by Bies seconded by Teresi carried to approve the salary schedule
for Light Equipment Operators of $460.00 gross; Heavy Equipment Operators
$525.00 gross, for 1961.

Re:_ Fire Department Dormitory:
Mr. Al Hanover, Chief of the Fire Department, was present and discussed
with the Council the bids received on the proposed addition of a dormitory
to the Fire Station on Highway #100.
MOVED by Bies seconded by Teresi carried to defer action on the addition to
the Fire Station until a revision of the proposed plans is complete or
additional money can be provided for in the 1962 budget.
Re: Trafficorder:
Mr. Everett Frandsen, Chief of Police, was present and discussed the
method of use of the Trafficorder in the Village.
MOVED by Flannagan seconded by Bies carried to adjourn the meeting at 10:30 P.M.
