SPECIAL MEETING
of the
VILLAGE COUNCIL
May 11, 1965
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the
Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County,
Minnesota, was held at 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village on
May 11, 1965, at 8:00 o'clock P.M.
The following members were present: Flannagan, Garis, Nadasdy, Schap -
horst, and Teresi; and the following were absent: None.
Present were Village Manager, Roger K. Ulstad; Village Assessor, Robert N.
Burns.
Civil Rights Commission:
The following Civil Rights Commission members were present: Mrs. Susan
Becker, Mrs. Sylvia Chesson, Mrs. Gomsrud representing Mr. Gomsrud, Rev.
Marvin D. Hedberg, Dr. William Hobbs, Mrs. Jane Stockman, Harry H. Takata;
and thefollowing were absent: Robert Gomsrud, Donald Wiese, Frank G.
Wright.
Mr. Walton, member of the Governors Civil Rights Commission, was present.
The Golden Valley Civil Rights Commission adjourned for a separate meeting.
Property Valuations - Village Assessor:
The Village Assessor reviewed the policy of property valuations in
Golden Valley. Council requested a tentative policy he submitted for
consideration.
Replacement of Siren - Fire Department:
The Village Manager presented a request from the Fire Department for
replacement of a fire siren, estimated cost of $600.00.
MOVED by Garis seconded by Flannagan carried to approve the request to
replace a fire siren, estimated cost of $600.00
Discussion of Zoning - 2200 Winnetka Aven. No. to Multiple Dwelling:
Council referred the above matter to the -planning Commission for
recommendation.
MOVED by Schaphorst seconded by Flannagan carrie to adjourn the meeting.

May 18, 1965
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the
Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County,
Minnesota, was held at 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village on May
18, 1965, at 7:30 o'clock P. M.
The following members were present: Schaphorst and Teresi; and the
following were absent: Flannagan, Garis, and Nadasdy.
Present were Village Attorney, Robert M. Skare; Village Engineer,
Donald Sorensen; Village Clerk, Helen Penniman.
Acting Mayor Teresi convened the meeting at 7:45 P. M.
MOVED by Schaphorst seconded by Teresi carried to defer all business
listed on the agenda to the next regular council meeting, due to no
quorum present.
MOVED by Schaphorst seconded by Teresi carried to adjourn the meeting
at 7:46 P. M.
