SPECIAL MEETING
of the
VILLAGE COUNCIL
April 23, 1968
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Village
Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, was
held at 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village on April 23, 1968, at
7:30 o'clock P.M.
The following members were present: Carlson, Garis, and Teresi; and the
following were absent: Bies, Stockman.
Present were Village Manager, Roger K. Ulstad; Village Attorney, Robert M.
Skare; Village Engineer, Lowell Odland; Village Clerk, Helen Penniman;
Assistant Village Manager, John Murphy.
Public Hearing - Proposed Public Improvements (Proposed MCSA 522 - 68 -BS -14
68 -CG -10,_68 -BS -15 and 68 -CG -11; (Hennepin County Project 6508):
The Village Clerk presented an affidavit showing publication in the official
newspaper of the Notice of Public Hearing on Certain Proposed Public Improve-
ments (Proposed MCSA 522 - 68 -BS -14, 68 -CG -10, 68 -BS -15, and 68-CG11)
described in the resolution of this Council relating thereto, adopted
on April 2, 1968. Said affidavit was then examined, approved and ordered
filed in the office of the Village Clerk.
The Mayor then announced that the meeting was open for public hearing on
said proposed public improvements, and all persons present to do so were
afforded opportunity to; -express their views thereon. No persons presented
objections except the following:

What will the street width be from curb

There is a drainage problem on Winnetka
and Duluth Street. How many feet will
be cut off on the west side of Winnetka.
Questioned where the plans came from
and who signed the petition.

from traffic on Winnetka by County
Road #18.
What will the speed limit be after the
street is finished?
MOVED by Garis seconded by Carlson carried to continue the public hearing
to the meeting on May 7, 1968.
Re: Mock Agreement - Bassett's Creek Drainage Committee:
All present agreed to add the above matter to the agenda.
Member Garis requested a written recommendation from Golden Valley regarding
the Mock Agreement submitted by the Bassett's Creek Drainage Committee under
the Joint Powers Act.
MOVED by Carlson seconded by Garis carried to approve the Mock Agreement
submitted by the Bassett's Creek Drainage Committee under the Joint Powers
Act.
MOVED by Carlson seconded by Garis carried to adjourn the meeting at 9:00 P.M.
