CITY COUNCIL
November 10, 1975
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council
of the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, was held at 7800
Golden Valley Road in said City on November 10, 1975.
The following members were present: Anderson, Hoover, Swartz and Thorsen, and
the following were absent: Bix, Also present were City Manager Barkley G. Omans
and Deputy City Clerk June Skyberg.
The Mayor called the Council to order as a Canvassing Board. The Deputy Clerk
presented the election returns for the City Election held on November 4, 1975,
as follows:

MOVED by Anderson seconded by Thorsen and carried to certify the above election
returns as submitted by the Deputy Clerk and to declare that the winner in the
Mayoral contest be Robert R. Hoover and the winner in the council contest be
awarded as follows: two four-year terms to Gloria Johnson and Rosemary Thorsen,
and one two-year term to Stephen Swartz. Said returns and affidavits were ex-
amined and found satisfactory and directed to be ced file.
