City Council
October 28, 1980
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the
City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota was held at 7800 Golden Valley Road
in said City on October 28, 1980 at 4:05 P.M.
The following members were present: Anderson, Johnson, Mitchell, Stockman ;and Thorsen.
Also present was City Manager Jeff Sweet.
Approval of Liquor License - Jennings Red Coach Inn
Jim Jennings of Jennings Red Coach Inn was present to answer questions regarding his
request for a liquor license for a restaurant to be located in the area of Highway #12
and Florida Avenue.
MOVED by Stockman, seconded by Johnson and carried to approve the issuance of a On -Sale
and Sunday liquor license to Jennings Red Coach Inn.
Waiver of Public Hearing - Calvary Community Center Water Service Quotations
Member Anderson introduced and read the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION WAIVING THE PUBLIC HEARING
PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES 429.031, SUBD. 3
AND ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF
CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Mitchell
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Anderson,
Johnson, Mitchell, Stockman and Thorsen and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and
her signature attested by the Clerk. See Resolution Book Page

Community Center Water Service (80 WM 6) to United Water & Sewer Company in the amount
of $4,675.00. Bids received as follows:
