Purusant to due call and notice thereof, a continued meeting of the City Council of
the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota was held at 7800 Golden Valley
Road in said City on May 19, 1981, at 8:06 P.M.
The following members were present: Anderson, Johnson, Mitchell, Stockman and Thorsen.
Also present was: City Manager, Jeff Sweet, HRA Attorney, Allen Barnard.
Termination Agreement with John Brenna
MOVED.by Stockman, seconded by Johnson and carried toapprovethe City Manager's
recommended termination agreement with John Brenna.
Approval of Memorial Day Car Sale
MOVED by Johnson, seconded by Anderson :and carried to approve the request from
Prestige.Lincoln - Mercury for a Memorial Day Car Sale from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
at the Chrysler City property pursuant to the conditions outlined in the memo of
May 18, 198.1 from Lloyd Becker, Superintendent of Inspections.
Request to Attend Meeting
MOVED by Johnson, seconded by Stockman and carried to authorize attendance and
reimbursement for Councilmember Anderson at the Twin Cities Housing Market Workshop
Conference sponsored by the Metropolitan Council.
Report from Mayor.on.Meeting with Open Space and Recreation Commission
Mayor Thorsen reported on the meeting that she and the City Manager had with the
Open Space and Recreation Commission on May 18.
Adjournment
MOVED by Mitchell, seconded.by Johnson and carried to adjourn the meeting at
8:35 P.M. The Council then met with the Planning Commission to discuss the
Planned Unit Development Ordinance -.and the Subcommittee of Johnson and Anderson
dealing with the charge to the Athletic Field Alternative Committee met at 9:30
P.M.
