June 21, 1994
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota was held at 7800 Golden
Valley Road in said City on June 21, 1994 at 6:30 PM.
The following members were present: Johnson, Micks, Russell , Thompson and
Tremere. Also present were: William Joynes, City Manager; Allen Barnard,
City Attorney; and Judy Nally, Administrative Secretary.
Approval of Agenda
MOVED by Micks, seconded by Russell and motion carried unanimously to approve
the agenda of June 21, 1994 as amended: Addition of Manager's Item - Preview of
Nousing and Redevelopment Area C Informational Meeting of June 23, 1994; and
Mayor and Council Item - Verbal Report - Olson Elementary School .
Approval of Consent Aqenda
MOVED by Russell , seconded by Thompson and motion carried unanimously to approve
the items on the consent agenda, indicated by an asterisk (*).

MOVED by Russell , seconded by Thompson and motion carried unanimously to authorize
payment of the bills as submitted.
*Licenses
MOVED by Russell , seconded by Thompson and motion carried unanimously to authorize
the issuance of licenses #15252 and #6611 - #6612.
On Sale, Off Sale, Sunday Sale, Club and Wine Liquor License Renewals
William Joynes stated that all information has been submitted to the City as
required and so all the licenses can be approved unconditionally.
MOVED by Micks, seconded by Russell and motion carried unanimously to authorize
the renewal of the following liquor licenses as listed below. Upon a roll call
vote, the vote was as follows:

The Mayor opened the meeting for public input and persons present to do so were
afforded the opportunity to express their views thereon. Hearing and seeing no
one, the Mayor closed the public hearing.

Announcements of Meetings
The Housing and Redevelopment Authority will hold an Area C informational meeting
on June 23, 1994 at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers.
The Regular Housing and Redevelopment Authority Meeting will be held on July 12,
1994 at 5:30 PM. The Council/Manager Meeting will follow the HRA meeting.
Mayor's Communications
Mayor Tremere stated he had received letters from Mr. Mundt and Mr. and Mrs.
Blankemeyer and will provide copies of the letters to the Council .
Re�,guest b Human Rights Commission to Send Letter to Robbinsdale School District

Julie Shannon, Chair, Human Rights Commission, reviewed the HRC's request to send
a letter to Robbinsdale School District and Minneapolis Public Schools regarding
the reopening of Olson Elementary School .
MOVED by Micks, seconded by Thompson and motion carried unanimoulsy to authorize
the Human Rights Commission to send the letter to Keith Moberg, Chair of the
Robbinsdale School District, as amended.
Reset Council Meeting Date
MOVED by Russell , seconded by Johnson and motion carried unanimoulsy to reset
the City Council Meeting from July 5 to July 12, 1994 at 5:15 PM.
Verbal Report - Olson School
The Council discussed the various meetings held by Robbinsdale School District �
and Minneapolis School District regarding the Olson Elementary School reopening. I
