COHORT flyerMany Law Enforcement agencies across the country are allocating more &
more resources in the area of diversity training. Which we agree is important.
And based on our experience in this area, we’ve found that focusing on
diversity alone, and the officers alone, is not yielding the desired outcomes.
We help our Law Enforcement Agency partners go beyond diversity (a state of
being) to experience the power & purpose of inclusion (an act of doing)
alongside its citizens and community members.
COHORT stands for Community Organizers Helping Officers
Restore Trust. This celebrated approach to diversity
training speaks to the heart just as much as it
feeds the mind, while helping its participants
understand how to connect the two and
yield transformational results.
COHORT was born out a realization
that in order for us to achieve
true resolution, reconciliation,
and healing; policing should
not be seen as something
that police do to the
community or even for the
community, but rather
something that’s done
with the community!
