Member Stark introduced the following resolution and moved
its adoption.
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
FOR STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVE_NIENT NO. 2
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley, Minnesota, that the plans and specifications for
Storm Drainage Improvement No. 2 (Turnerts Crossroad) of the
Village heretofore prepared by the Engineer for the Village and.
now on file in the office of the Village ClerX are hereby ap-
proved as the plans and specifications in accordance with which
said improvement shall be constructed except as said plans and
specifications may be modified by further action of this Coun-
cil, in accordance with law.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution
was duly seconded by Member Reiss, and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following members voted in favor thereof: Foss,
Rahn, Reiss, Stark, Stasel; whereupon said resolution was de-
clared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his
signature attested by the Clerk.

Member Reiss, introduced and read the following written
resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION DIRECTING ADVERTISEMENT
FOR BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT NO. 2
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows:

1. This Council shall meet at the time and place specified
in the form of notice included in paragraph 2 hereof for the pur-
pose of considering bids and awarding a contract for the con-
struction of Storm Drainage Improvement No. 2.
2. The Clerk shall cause to be published once in the North
Iiennepin Bost, the official newspaper of the Village, and once
in the Construction Bulletin, published at Minneapolis, Minnesota,
at least 10 days before the date for opening of bids, a notice
for bids for the construction of said improvement, which notice
shall be in substantially the following form;
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT
Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of Golden
Valley, Minnesota, will meet at the Village Hall in said Village
on August 18, 1953, at 7:30 T.M., to open and consider sealed
bids for the construction of improvements to be made in said
Village, consisting and providing for the drainage of surface
waters and the installation of storm sewers in and for certain
streets and areas in accordance with and as more fully des-
cribed in the plans and specifications for said improvement
on file in the office of the Village Clerk. Copies of said
plans and specifications may be obtained from E. George Minder,
consulting engineer, 78307 6th Avenue North, Minneapolis, Minn-
esota, by depositing $5.00 for each set obtained, such deposit
to be refunded to all bona fide bidders who return the doc-
uments in good condition within 10 days after the date speci-
fied for the receipt of bids. The improvement involves the
following approximate quantities of work and materials:
1. 21050 feet of 24'4 R. C. F.; 900 feet of 1811 R. C. P.;
150 feet of 15" R. C. B.; 6 manholes; 4 catch basins.
All bids must be submitted on the basis of cash payment for

the work. No bids will be considered unless sealed, and filed
with the undersigned Clerk before the time of said meeting, and
accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, or cashierts or cert-
ified check in the amount of 5% of the amount of the bid, pay-
able to the Village Clerk,to be forfeited as liquidated damages
in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder shall fail
to enter promptly into a written contract and to furnish the
required bond. All bidders may bid on all or any.part of the
above work. The Village reserves the right to reject any and
all bids or portions of bids and to waive any informalities in
any bid.
