#013 09-01-53 Declare Assessments Street Improvement No. 171 U 1 Resolution No. 13 September 12 1953 Member Reiss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION DECLARING ASSESSABLE COST AND APPROVING AND ORDERING FILING OF ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR 1953 STREET IMPROVE'M'ENT NO. 17 BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The estimated cost of 1953 Street Improvement No. 17 heretofore contracted to be constructed in the Village is here- by declared to be $66,000.00, including every item of cost of the improvement from its inception to itscompletion, and all fees and expenses incurred or to be incurred in connection therewith. The sum of not less than X66,000.00 of such cost shall be spec- ially assessed against every assessable lot or tract of land in the Village which is benefited by said improvement, in accord- ance with the descriptions of the areas to be assessed for said improvement as set forth in the various notices of -hearing on portions of said improvement heretofore published, each item of assessment to be in proportion to the special benefits con.- ferred by said improvement upon the property assessed and without regard to the cash valuation of said property. Said assessments shall be made payable in ten(10) annual install- ments, the first installment to be collected in 1954 with gen- eral taxes for the year 1953. To each installment shall be add- ed interest on all unpaid installments at the rate of 5% per annum, in accordance with Minnesota Session Laws of 1953, Chapter 398, Section 6. (The remainder of such cost shall be paid from general ad valorem tax levies to be made hereafter in and for the Village.)* 2. The assessment roll heretofore prepared for said im- provement under the direction of the Village Clerk is hereby approved and shall be filed in the office of the Village Clerk, where it shall be open for public inspection.
