#014 09-01-53 Provide Assessments Street Improvement No. 17thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Foss, Rahn, Reiss, Stark, Stasel; and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, and was signed by the Mayor, which was attested by the Clerk. Resolution No. 14 September 1, 1953 Member Reiss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoptions RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR HEARING ON ASSESSMENTS FOR 1953 STREET IMPROVEMENT NO. 17 BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. This Council shall meet.at the time and place indi- cated in the notice set forth in paragraph 2 hereof for the purpose of passing upon the assessments for 1953 Street Im- provement No. 17 and hearing all objections thereto. 2. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of said meeting to be published in the North Hennepin Post, the official newspaper of the Village, at least thirty days before the date of said meeting, which notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF HEARING ON ASSESSMENTS FOR 1953 STREET IMPROVEMENT NO. 17 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, will meet at the Village Hall in said Village on October , 1953, at o'clock . M., to hear consider and pass upon all written or :oral ob- jections, if any, to the proposed assessments in respect of 1953 Street Improvement No. 17. The proposed assessessment toll is now on file and open to public inspection by all persons in- terested, in the office of the Village Clerk. The entire amount assessed against any parcel of land will be payable, unless pre- paid, in 10 equal consecutive annual installments, the first of such installments to be payable with general taxes for the year 1953, collectible with such taxes during the year 1954. The first installment will be payable with interest at the rate of 5% per annum on the entire assessment from the date of the res- olution levying said assessments to December 31, 1954, and each subsequent installment will be payable with one year's interest at said rate on all unpaid installments. The general nature of 1953 Street Improvement No. 17 is as follows: Establishing and changing the grade of and opening the follow - streets, and improving the same by grading, gravelling and construction of pavement, by installation of street drainage, and by construction of necessary curb and gutter: 1. Quebec Avenue North from Bassettts Creek to Fari- bault Street from Quebec to Pennsylvania Avenue North, including a 100 -feet turnaround on Quebec Avenue North; 2. Kyle Avenue North from Culver to 27th Avenue North; 3. Lee Avenue North from,Culver to 27th Avenue North; 4. Entire length of Maddaus Lane; 5. Entire length of Sunset Ridge. Establishing and changing the gradeof and openi%g_, the follow- ing street, and improving the same by grading, gravelling and oiling and including installation of street drainage: b. Idaho Avenue North from Golden Valley Road to Hampshire Avenue North. Installation of concrete curb and gutter and sidewalk on: 7. The southerly side of Twenty-sixth Avenue North from the most easterly alleyway in Block 1, Del- phian Heights Second Unit, to the most westerly alleyway in said Block. Installation of concrete curb and gutter on: 8. Kyle Avenue North from Culver Road to Elmdale Road (west side only) and also from the corner of Kyle Avenue up the north side of Culver Road half- way to Lee Avenue, including property owned on the corner of Kyle and Culver Road. Construction of storm sewers and systems to drain the follow- ing streets and property abutting thereon, and the following described areas: 9. The north side of Olympia Street from its inter- section with Winnetka Avenue North to its inter- section with Orkla Drive and tracts B, C, D, E, and J. Registered Land Survey�No. 13, lying in the NE -1 of the SE4 of Section 30, T. 118, R. 21, 'ly- ing north of the north line of the plat of Golden Oaks 2nd Addition and abutting upon Winnetka Ave. North; 10. Beginning at a point 735 feet due north of the southeast corner of Section 33, Township 1182 Range 21 (intersection of Turner's Crossroad and the Judicial Ditch No. 6) thence east 160 feet, thence south to Glenwood Avenue, thence east along Glenwood to the west boundary of Lot 22, Block 4, Spring Green; thence south through Spring Green and including the following: Lots 9 to 22, 23 to 28 in Block 4; Lots 11 to 29 in Block 2; Lots 1 to 10 in Block 3; Lots 1 to 25 in Block 5; and all of Block 6 to a point at the southeast corner of Lot 21, Block 2; thence along a line to include all lots in Blocks 1 and 2 of the proposed plat of Golden Hills now on file in the office of the Village Clerk, to the intersection of State High- way No. 12 and the designated 18 foot alley in Golden Hills; thence north and east along the al- ley to a point 500 feet east of Turner's Crossroad, thence south of Highway 12, thence west along High- way 12 t© the east 1 corner of Section 41 Township 117, Range 21, thence west and north to include the property known as Gluek's Brewing Company property and Jerry Cramer property to a point 160 feet west of Turner's Crossroad, thence due north to a point approximately 700 feet north of Glenwood Avenue, thence east. to point of beginning. The area proposed to be assessed in respect of said irA- provement will include all property abutting on the streets and portions of streets described above, and in addition there will also be assessed, for the improvements numbered 9 and 10 above, all property whose legal descriptions are set forth in connection therewith.
