Member Reiss introduced and read the following written
resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON PROPOSED STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398,
Session Laws of Minnesota 1953, this Council proposes to con-
struct a storm drainage improvement within the Village as stated
in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The Village Engineer has reported to the Council ad-
vising it in a preliminary way that the proposed storm drain-
age improvement is feasible and that it should be made as pro-
posed and not in connection with some other improvement, and
has given his estimated cost of the improvement as follows:

3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified
in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the
purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed drainage
improvement as described therein.
4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice
of the time, place, and purpose of said meeting to be published
for two successive weeks in the North Hennepin Post, the official
newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be
in theissue of said paper dated November 61 and the second of
said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated Novem-
ber 13. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form:
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON PROPOSED STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT
Notice is hereby given that the Village Council of the Vil-
lage of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on
the 17th day of November, at 7:30 o1clock P.M. at the Village
Hall in said Village, at which time and place a public hearing
will be held on a certain proposed storm drainage improvement,
which will be considered at said public hearing, which improve-
ment is described below, all in accordance with preliminary plans
and estimate on file in the office of the Village Clerk.
The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of the
improvement will be 47,000.00.
Excavating, filling, moving, and removing dirt, install-
ing a storm drain the and in other waysproviding for the drain-
age of storm and surface waters, said storm drain the to be
installed in the following described tract of land:
Zenith Avenue North from its intersection with Vista Drive to
its intersection with 23rd Avenue North; thence westerly a dis-
tance of approximately 650 feet across the following described
tract of land: Commencing at the intersection of.center line
of County Road No. 6 with northeasterly line of Great Northern
Railroad right-of-way; thence northwesterly along northeasterly
line of .said right-of-way 464.28 feet; thence northeasterly
making an angle of 900 four (4) minutes to the right a distance
of 879.71 feet; thence easterly making an angle of 520 twenty-
six (26) minutes to the right a distance of 175 feet; thence
southerly 553.8 feet to a point in the northwesterly line of
Glenwood Camden Parkway distant 534.58 feet northeasterly

measured along said Parkway from center line of County Road
No. 6; thence southwesterly along northwesterly line of Parkway
to center line of said County Road; thence westerly to begin-
ning, except road, all in Section 17, Township 293 Range 24,
Hennepin County, Minnesota.
said improvement will serve to drain the following described
streets, property abutting thereon, and drainage areas:
All of the.property in Blocks 1, 2, 3 and. 4, Delphian Heights,
Hennepin County, Minnesota, and all of the property abutting on
all of the streets in Blocks 1, 2, 3 and 4, Delphian Heights,
Hennepin County, Minnesota, and the following described tract
of land: Commencing at the intersection of center line of
County Road No. 6 with northeasterly line of Great Northern
Railroad right-of-way; thence northwesterly along northeasterly
line of said right-of-way 464.28 feet; thence northeasterly
making an angle of 90° four (4) minutes to the right a distance
of 879.71 feet; thence easterly making an angle of 520 twenty-
six (26) minutes to the right a distance of 175 feet; thence
southerly 553.8 feet to a point in the northwesterly line:of
Glenwood Camden Parkway distant 534.58 feet, northeasterly
measured along said Parkway from center line of County Road
No. 6; thence southwesterly along northwesterly line of Park-
way to center line of said County Road; thence westerly to
beginning, except road, all in Section 17, Township 290 Range
24, Hennepin County, Minnesota.
Iii conducting said public hearing for making its decision
on the proposed improvement, the Village Council proposes to
proceed 'under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota
Laws for 1953•
All property within the Village which is benefited by the
Improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as
follows. All property abutting on the above described streets
and portions of streets, and all property whose legal des-
criptions are set forth above, and all property served by the
improvement. All owners of such property are hereby notified
to be present at said public hearing, and to make known their
objections to such proposed improvement if any there be.
