#051 06-15-54 Approve Sanitary Sewer System with New Hope86 Resolution No, 51 June 15, 1954 Member Stark introduced and read the following res- olution and moved its adoption: BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley: 1, That Golden Valley hereby tentatively approves the request of the Village of New Hope to construct its proposed sanitary sewer system so that it will have a capacity to take care of the sanitary sewers of New Hope. 2. New Hope shall pay for any capacity added to take care of its needs on the basis of payment for the increased pipe size made nece-scary by Golden Valley's accomodation of New Hopets anticipated sewage flow. 3. Should Golden Valley construct a sanitary sewer system prior to New Hopets need for the accommodation, New Hope shall pay its pro tata share of increased main- tence costs on an annual basis during such period of time as it does not actually use the Golden Valley sewer facilities.' 4. Upon the commencement of actual service for New Hope, New Hope shall pay for the service, maintence, increased cost of digging, and other expenses, on either a savings or flow basis, or combination of both, as may finally be agreed upon. 5. The construction of additional sanitary sewage capacity for the purpose of serving New Hope shall be contingent upon the actual construction of Golden Valley's north branch interceptor, and said construction shall be entirely within the discretion of Golden Valley. Nothing in this resolution shall be construed' -as binding upon New Hope or Golden Valley until such time as the two villages shall enter into a formal written agree- ment covering the subject matter of this resolution.. Member Rahn seconded the motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Foss, Huebsch, Stark and Rahn. and the following voted againest the same: None. whereupon 'aid resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Clerk, Mayor Atte t• C1ar
