RESOLUTIONS ADOPTED
by the
VILLAGE COUNCIL
Resolution No. 87
December 8, 1954
Member Stark introduced the following resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION GRANTING THE E.J. LONGYEAR
COMPANY INDUSTRIAL USE PERMIT
WHEREAS$ E. J. Longyear Company, a corporation, with its
principal office at Minneapolis, Minnesota, has made app -
location to the Village Council for a permit,pursuant to
the premises, situated within the Industrial Use Zone
which are hereinafter described, for manfacturing, offices,
storage and warehousing of machinery and equipment, employees''
and customer parking facilities, railroad spur track, and
water tank, and to construct on said premises one or more
buildings for such purposes, and the Village Council is of
the opinion that said uses of said premises are no more
obnoxious or detrimental to the welfare of the community
than the enterprises or businesses enumerated in said
Zoning Ordinance, as authorized within said Industrial Use
Zone, therefore#
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley that E. J. Longyear Company be hereby granted
a permit, pursuant to said Zoning Ordinance, to use premises
within the Light Industrial Use Zone, as defined by said
Ordinance, and which are described as follows:
Lot One (1), Auditorts Subdivision No. 322,
Hennepin County, Minnesota, and that part of the
SEJ of the NE4 of Section 320 Township 118,
Range 21, lying East of the West 653 feet thereof,
except railroad right-of-way,
for manufacturing, offices, storage and warehousing of
machinery and,equipment, and for construction upon said
premises for such purposes of one or more buildings, to-
gether with customer and employee parking facilities,
railroad spur track, and water tank; provided that said
buildings and other structures shall comply with the
requirements of the Building Code of the Village, and s1v11
be subject to set -back requirements of said Zoning Ordinance,
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said company shall present to
the Village Council plans and specifications for the con-
struction on said premises of such buildings, parking fac-
ilities, railroad fur track and water tank, evidencing
compliance with the Building Code of the Village and of
such set -back and height regulations of the Zoning Ordinance
as shall be applicable thereto, whereupon the Village Council
will, in its discretion, instruct the Building Inspector
to issue necessary building permits.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
duly seconded by Member Rahn and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following members voted in favor thereof: Bies, Foss,
Huebsch, Rahn, and Stark and the following voted against
the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted, signed by the mayor and his signature
attested by the Clerk.
