#096 01-18-55 Provide Public Hearing Sewer Improvement1 Resolution No. 96 January 18, 1955 Member Stark introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED SEWER IMPROVEMENT BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, as follows: 1. It is hereby found and determined that G. M. Orr Engineer- ing Company, engineers,, have heretofore reported to this Council that certain lateral sewer improvements, hereinafter described, are feasible and may best be made, in connection with other lateral sewer improvements heretofore ordered constructed by the Council, and that the estimated cost of said improvements to the Village of Golden Valley is $130000.00 2. This Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 3 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed construction on a system of lateral sanitary sewers as therein described. 3. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks, in the Suburban Press, being the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be not less than 10 days and second not less than 3.days prior to the date of said meeting. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form.- NOTICE orm: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF PROPOSED SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS, VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY Hennepin County, Minnesota NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden`Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Thursday, February 15th, 1955, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., at the Village Hall in said Village, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed sanitary lateral sewer impro- vements in various lateral sewer districts in Sewer District No. 1 of the Village, to serve the northeast portion of the Village and the lateral sewer districts described below and to follow the following course: The lateral sewers will run in all of the public streets and highways in and abutting upon the la- teral sewer districts described below: The sanitary sewer lateral improvements are to be located in the lateral sewer districts described'"below. Each of them 1 will be considered at said public hearing and all are in accordance with preliminary plans and estimates now on file in the office of the Village Clerk. Each of said improve- ments will be separately considered and are separately numbered below. The Engineers for the Villae estimate that the entire cost of the improvement will be 1130,000.00. Quail Avenue from Dona Lane to South Line of Plat Perry Avenue from E. Marie Lane to South Line of Plat Orchard Avenue from 28th Avenue to E. LATERAL SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 (k) All of the streets in and abutting on Westurban, including all property abutting on streets bounding Westurban whether such property is located in Westurban or not. Sorell Avenue from Regent Avenue to Ordway Westbend Road from Regent Avenue to Ordway Ordway from Golden Valley Road to Noble Avenue Windsor Way from Westbend Road to Markay Ridge. Perry Avenue from Westbend Road to Markay Ridge Orchard Avenue from Ordway to Markay Ridge Markay Ridge from Windsor Way to Orchard Avenue Noble Avenue from Trunk sewer at Bassetts Creek to Golden Valley Road It is proposed to consolidate the above proposed lateral sewer improvements with other lateral sewer improvements in Sewer District No. 1 heretofore or- dered to be constructed by the Village Council. In conducting said public hearing for making its decisions on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as follows: All property in all of the above described areas, including all property abutting on any and all existing or proposed streets and highways within the above described areas, or abutting on said areas including all property owned by any railroad and all railroad right-of-way areas. All owners of such property in and abutting upon the above described areas are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing, and to make known their objections to such proposed improvements if any there be.
