Resolution No. 98 January 27, 1955
Member Rahn introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON PROPOSED SEWER IMPROVEMENT
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Henn-
epin County, Minnesota, as follows:
1. It is hereby found and determined that G. M. Orr Engineering Company, eng-
ineers, have heretofore reported to this Council that certain lateral sewer
improvements, hereinafter described, are feasible and may best be made in
connection with other lateral sewer improvements heretofore ordered construc-
ted by the Council and that the estimated cost of said improvements to the
Village is $130,000.00.
2. This Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of
notice included in paragraph 3 hereof for the purpose of holding a public
hearing on the proposed construction of a system of lateral sanitary sewers
as therein described.
3. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place
and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks, in
the Suburban Press, being the official newspaper of the Village, the first
of such publications to be not less than 10 days and the second not less
than 3 days prior to the date of said meeting. Such notice shall be in
the following form:
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
OF PROPOSED SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS,
VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY
Hennepin County, Minnesota
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Tuesday, March lst, 1955,
at 7:30 o'clock P.M., at the Village Hall in said Village, for the purpose
of holding a public hearing on proposed sanitary lateral sewer improvement
in a lateral sewer district in Sewer District No. 1 of the Village, to serve
the northeast portion of the Village and the lateral sewer district des-
cribed below and to follow the following course:
The lateral sewers will run in all of the existing and proposed
public streets and highways in and abutting upon the lateral
sewer district described below.
The sanitary sewer lateral improvement is to be located in the lateral
sewer district described below. It will be considered at said public hear-
ing along with other proposed sewer improvements and is in accordance with
preliminary plans and estimates now on file in the office of the Village
Clerk. Each of said improvements will be separately considered and are
separately numbered below.

Vit. Each and all of the terms and provisions stated in the foregoing notice
of hearing are hereby adopted as the terms and provisions in accordance with
which said hearing shall be held.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly .seconded
by Member Foss and upon vote being taken thereon, the following members
voted in favor thereof: Bies, Foss, Huebsch, Rahn, and Stark; and the
following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was
declared duly passed and adopted, signed ,)y the M?-,ror and his signature
was attested by the Clerk.
