#104A 03-01-55 Gas Service Connections-- - ----- -- - - o- _ i- k- Resolution , No 104March 1, _1955 Member Rahn introduced the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION RELATING TO GAS SERVICE'CONNtCTION'S WBEPMS, work on Village Projects No. 1(a) through.1(m), 1955 Sanitary Sewer Improvement can be expeditedby the temporary removal of certain ,gas insta7lationsp. and; i�3HEEAS, such temporary removal can best be accomplished by employees of 'the Minneapolis Gas Company$ and, 1 RUSa the said Minneapolis Gas Company has indicated a willingness to do such work when requested to do so by the Village @j a basis which appears to be s.atis factory to this Council; NOW TEMEFQREj Be It Resolved As Follows: 1. That the Sanitary Sewer Resident Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to order the temporary- removal of such gas installations in village streets as will " expedite the construction of said Village Projects No. l(a) through 1(m), by the signing of written work orders for such items of labor and, materials as are here- inafter specified. 2. That the cost of. such items of labor and materials .hereinafter specified shall be paid for by the Village and charged to the proper.Sanitary Sewer Improvement j Construction Fund upon presentation. of monthly verified claims therefore by, the said Minneapolis Gas Company .after audit and allowance by the Village Council. 3. That the items of labor. and materials for which reimbursement shall be made shall be as follows: (a)Direct payroll according to schedules established by contract for rankand classification of workmen used in actual performance of said work, including.l.aborers, mechanics, welders machine opera- tors and street "foremen" (w6rking union crew leader] and costs directly related to payroll such as workman's compensation: insurance, pensions'socal security, state unemployment, hospitalization insurance and group insurance. (Time devoted by officers, superintendents, engineers, supervisors ,.. and inspectors.in planning and coordinating the work, locating and marking galm' structures for the corrttractorsp taking precautionary' measures on gas company initiative or observing precautions` being taken by the contractors will not be included. in costs: of temporary removal,'and replacementorderedby the; Village.) (b) Materials installed in the permanent structure as restored and re- „. placed which are made necessary by the temporary removal such as pipe, pipe protective coatings;4 compression couplings.,, pressure control I, fittings, repair sleeves and clamps,welding flanges, service saddles, street tees and elis,.'drip pots, etc., at storeroom cost. (e) The operating cost of trucks in bringing tools and supplies and moving men and equipment to be charged on,:an'hourly basis as deter- mined from operating cost records. i i
