#115 04-19-55 Provide Assessment Watermain Improvement No. 18226 R'T'SOLUTION ADOPTED by the VIZLAGE COUNTIL Resolution No. 115 April 19, 1955 Member Foss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION PR9VIDING FOR HEARING ON ASSESSM'_TNTTS FOR STREET AND WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT NO. 18 BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The assessment roll heretofore duly prepared for Street and ''Vater Main Improvement No. le, and now on file in the office of the Clerk, is hereby approved as the proposed assessments for said improv_ment, and this Council shall.meet at the time and place indicated in the notice set forth in paragraph 2 hereof for the purpose of pa.:sing upon said assessments and hearing all objections thereto. 2. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice or' said meeting to be Dublished in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of this municipality at least two weeks before the date of said meeting, which notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF HEARING ON ASSESSMENTS FOR STREET A,";D WATER MAIN IMPROVF11ENT NO. 18 GOLDEN VALLEY, MT N"' ESO TA NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota,_ will meet at the Village Hall in said Village on May 17, 1955, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. to hear, consider and pass upon all written or oral objections, if any, to the proposed assessments in respect of Street and Water Main Improvement No. 1F1. The proposed assessment roll is now on file and open to public inspection by all persons interested, in the office of the Village Clerk. The entire amount assessed against any parcel of land will be payable, unless prepaid, in 10 equal consecutive annual install- ments, the first of such installments to be payable with general taxes for the year 1955, collectible with such taxes during the year 1956. The first installment will be payable with interest at the rate of 6% per annum on the entire assessment from the date of the resolution levying said assess- ments to December 31, 1956, and each subsequent installment will be payable with one year's interest at said rate on all unpaid installments. The general nature of Street and Water Main Improvement No. 18 is as follows: Changing and establishing the grade, grading certain streets and, in addi- tion, oiling or installing bitiuninous pa=ving and concrete curb and gutter on certain streets, providing for the drainage of surface waters in cer- tain areas, and installation of a water main in a certain street. The area proposed to be assessed in respect of said improvement is as follows: All land abutting on the following described streets and portions of streets: Street Improvements 1. Douglas Drive from its intersection with St. Croix Avenue to its inter- section with -Golden Valley Road. 2. The entire length of Hanley Road. 3. Ridgeway Road from its intersection with Winnetka Avenue to its inter- section with Hanley Road. 4. Jersey Avenue from its intersection with 6th Avenue North to its inter- section with Trunk.Highway No. 55. 5. Regent Avenue from its intersection with Golden Valley Road.to its inter- section with Minnaqua Avenue. 10. The entire length of Windsor Way in Westurban. 11. The entire length of Westbend Road an Westurban. 12. The.entir_e.length of Perry Avenue in Westurban. Water Alain. Improvement The north side of Olson Highway from its intersection with France Avenue North to its intersection with Trunk Highway No. 100' including the property of the Valley Village Apartments, Michaeltsj General Motors,, and the Holiday Inn Motel.
