VILLAGE COUNCIL
Resolution No. 116 4ag� 17th,, 1955
Member Rahn introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
"RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENTS"
WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the
Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assess-
ment for Street Improvement No. 18 of 1951 and Water Main Improvement No. 2
of 1954,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF GOLDEN VALLEY,
MINNESOTA AS FOLLOWS:
1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a
part hereof, is hereby acpted and shall constitute the special assessment against
the lands named therein$ and each tract of land therein included is hereby found
to be benefited by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assessment levied
against it.
2. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending
over a period of ten years, the first of the installments to be payable on or
before the first Monday in January' 1956. Any deferred installments shall bear
interest at the rate of 6 per cent per annum with reference to Street Improvement
No. 18 of 19544. and 5 per cent per annum with reference to Water Main Improvement
No. 2 of .1954, from the date of the adoption of this assessment resolution. To
the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the
date of this resolution until December 31st, 1955• To each subsequent installment
when due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments.
3• The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to cer{ifica-
tion of the assessment to the county auditor as herein provided.. pay the whole of
the assessment against any parcel with interest accfured to the date of payment to
the village treasurer and he may, at any time thereafter, pay to the county treasurer
the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid with interest aceured to
December 31st of the year in which such payment is made.
4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assess-
ment to the county auditor to be extended on the proper tax lists of the county,
and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other
municipal taxes.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Foss and upon vote being taken thereon, the following members voted
in favor thereof: Bies,, Foss., Rahn.. and Stark; and the following voted against
the same: None., -whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.,
signed by the Mayor and his signature was attested by the Clerk.
