#117 05-17-55 Provide Public Hearing Street ImprovementResolution No. 117 May 17th, 1955 Member Rahn introduced and read the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED STREET IMPROVEMENT BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minn- esota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a street improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer has reported to the Council advising it in a pre- liminary way that the proposed street improvement is feasible and that it should best be made as proposed and not in connection with any other improvement, and has given his estimated costs of the improvement as follows: Proposed street improvement, $2,700.00 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on.the proposed street improvement as described therein. I* The Clerk is authorised and directed to cause notice of the time., place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publica- tions to be in the issue of said paper dated June 2., and the second of such pub- lications to be in the issue of said paper dated June 9, 1955. Such notice shall be in substantially the following forma VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESO'T'A NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF PROPOSED STREET IMPROVEMENT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Tuesday, June 21, 1955, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the Village Hall in said Village, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed street improvement as follows: Changing and establishing the grade, opening, grading, and gravelling the following described street: France Avenue North from its intersection with Poplar Drive to its intersection with Woodstock Avenue. The Engineer for -the Village estimates that the entire cost for the improvement will be 2.,700.00. In conducting said public hearing for making its decisions on the proposed improvement, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter,398, Minnesota Laws for 1953. r!t71` All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as follows: All property abutting on said street. All owners of such property in and abutting upon said street are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing' and to make known their objec- tions to such proposed improvement, if any there be.
