#121 08-16-55 Provide Public Hearing Street & Sanitary Sewer ImprovementsResolution No, 121 August 16; 1955 Member Bies introducted and read the following written resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED STREET AND SANITARY S31ER IMPROVEMENTS BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Walley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a street and sanitary sewer improvement withintfie Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer has reported to the Counciladvising it in a preliminary way, that the proposed street and sanitary sewer improvement is feasible and that it should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvement, and has given his estimated costs of the improvements as followsa Proposed opening & rough grading $1000.00 Proposed sanitary sewer improvement $35,000.00 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified inthe form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed street and sanitary sewer improvement as described therein. .4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks inthe Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated Aug.25,195% and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated Sept. 1,1955 . Such notice shall be in substantially the following formr VILLAGE OF GOLDEN ._VALLEY HENNEPIN COUNTY,''RINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF PROPOSED STREET & SANITARY SEWER IMPF?VEMENTS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on ,,,September 6. 1955 at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the Village Hall in said Village; for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed street and sanitary sewer improvements as follows: Changing and establishing the grade, opening, grading, and gravelling the following described streets and area, and providing for surface water drainage and for the installation of sanitary sewer facilitiesr "All that tract of land which is described and bounded as followsx On the North by 34th Avenue North;. on the South by Lowry Terrace; on the East by Noble Avenue, and on the West by Regent Avenue, including property not in the above described tract of land but.ab4.tting on the West side of Regent Avenue between 34th Avenue North and`Lowry Terrace, and property on the South side of Lowry Terrace between Noble Avenue and Regent Avenue." The Engineer for the Village estimates that the entire cost for the improvements will be $ 36,000.00: In conducting said public hearing for making its decisions on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Lags for 1953. All property withinthe Village which is benefited by the improvements is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as f ollowst All property abutting on said streets and in said area. All owners of'such property in and abutting upon said streets and in said area are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing, and to make known their objections to such proposed improvements, if any there be.
