#125 09-13-55 Provide Assessments Lateral Sewer Improvement No. 1Resolution No. 125. September 13, 1955 Member Foss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR HEARING ON ASSESS= MENTS FOR LATERAL SEWER IMPROVEMENT NUMBER ONE BE IT RESOLVED,,by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as followst 1. The assessment roll heretofore duly prepared for Lateral Sewer Improvement No. 1, and now on file in the office of the Village Clerk, is here- by approved as the proposed assessments for said improvement, and this Council shall meet at the time and place indicated in the notice set forth in paragraph 2 hereof for the purpose of passing upon said assessments and hearing all objections thereto. 2. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of said meeting to be published in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of this municipality, at least two weeks before the date of said meeting, which notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF HEARING ON ASSESSMENTS- FOR LATERAL SEWER IMPROVEMENT NO. 1 NOTICE IS.HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, will meet at the Village Hall in said Village on Tuesday, the lith day of October, 1955, at 7:30 otclock P.M., to hear, consider and pass upon all written or oral objections, if any, to proposed assessments in respect of Lateral Sewer Improvement No. 1. The proposed assessment rolls are now on file and open to public inspection by all persons interested, in the office of the Village Clerk. The entire amount assessed against any parcel of land will be payable, unless prepaid, in twenty equal consecutive annual installments, the first of such installments to be payable with general taxes for the year 1955, collectible with such taxes during the year 1956. 248 The first installment will be payable with interest at the rate of 5% per annum on the entire assessment from the date of the resolution levying said assessments to December 319 1955, and each subsequent 1 installment will be payable with one yearb interest at said rate on all unpaid installments, except that no interest will be charged if the entire assessment as to any parcel is paid at the office of the Treasurer, in the Village Hall, within 30 days from the date of adoption of the assessment roll. The general nature of Lateral Sewer Improvement No. 1 is as follows: Construction and installation of a lateral sanitary sewer system in Sewer District No. 1, which is described as follows: All land in the Village which lies North of the center line of the Minnesota,'North.field &,.Southern Railroad right-of- way, and East of the Trunk Highway No. 100 and including also the following described land: All land lying Fest of Trunk Highway 100, North of Trunk Highway 55, and East of Fred Place and North of Golden Valley Road from Fred Place to the center line of the Minnesota Western Railroad right- of-way, and North of the center line of the Minnesota Western Railroad right-of-way from its intersection with Golden Valley Road to its intersection with Trunk Highway No. 100. The area proposed to be assessed in m spect of said improvement will include: All property in the above described areas, including all railroad property. Dated: September 13, 1955 STANLEY D. Each and all of the terms and provisions of said form of notice are hereby adopted as the terms and conditions by which this Council shall be governed in hearing and passing upon objections to said assessments, as fully as though the same were separately set forth and resolved herein. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Rahn and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Foss, Rahn, and Stark, and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. 1 1
