#126 09-13-55 Provide Assessments Improvement No. 19250 Resolution No. 126 September 13, 1955 member Rahn introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR HF ARING GN ASSESSZiVTS FOR DdriRO VE V N`1' WO . 19 BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The assessment roll heretofore duly prepared for Im- provement No. 19, and now on file in the office of the Village Clerk, is hereby approved as the proposed assessments for said improvement, and this Council shall meet at the time and place indicated in the notice set forth in paragraph 2 hereof for the purpose of passing upon said assessments and hearing all objections thereto. 2. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of said meeting to be published in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of this municipality, at least two weeks before the date of said meeting, which notice shall be in sub- stantially the following form: NOTICE (:F h-EtiRING ON .i6SESSMENTS FOR IMPROVEI NT NO. 19 NOTICE IS HEirEBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, will meet at the Village Hall in said Village on Tuesday the 4th day of October, 1955, at 7:30 o'clock p.m., to hear, consider and pass upon all written or oral objections, if any, to proposed assessments in respect of Improvement No. 19. The proposed assessment roll is now on file and open to public in spection by all persons interested, in the office of the Village Clerk. The entire amount assessed against any parcel of land will be payable unless prepaid, in ten equal consecutive annual installments, the first of such installments to be payable with general taxes for the year 1955, collectible with such taxes during the year 1956. The first installment will be payable with interest at the rate of 5% per annum on the entire assessment from the date of the resolution levying said assessments to December 31, 1955, and each subsequent installment will be payable with one year's interest at said rate on all unpaid installments, except that no interest will be charged if the entire assessment as to any parcel is paid of the office of the Treasurer, in the Village Hall, within 30 days from the date of adoption of the assessment roll. The general nature of Improvement No. 19 is as follows: 1. Changing and establishing the grade, opening, grading, gravelling and providing for surface water drainage in and for France Avenue North from its intersection with Poplar Drive to its intersection with Woodstock Avenue. 2. Installation of a water main in Tuenty-sixth Avenue North, from Zenith Avenue North to Xerxes Avenue North. 3. Oiling Xerxes Avenue North from its intersection with Golden Valley Road South to its intersection with Plymouth Avenue North. The area proposed to be assessed in respect of said improvement will include: The property abutting on the above described streets. Each and all of the terms and provisions of said form of notice are hereby adopted as the terms and conditions by which this Council shall be governed in hearing and passing upon objections to said assessments, as fully as though the same were separately set forth and resolved herein. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Foss and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Foss, Rahn, Stark, and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. 1 1
