Resolution No. 122. September 13, 1955
Member Foss introduced the following; resolution and mored its
adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR HEARING ON
RE+ASSESSMENTS FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT NO. 17
SAND OLYMPIA STREET STORM DRAINAGE PROJECT
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The assessment roll heretofore duly prepared for Street
Improvement No. 17 and Olympia Street storm drainage project, and
now on file in the office of the Village Clerk, is hereby approved as
the proposed re -assessments for said improvement, and this Council
shall meet at the time and place indicated in the notice set forth
in paragraph 2 hereof for the purpose of passing upon said reassess-
ments and hearing all objections thereto.
2. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause
notice of said meeting to be published in the Suburban Press, the
official newspaper of this municipality, at least two weeks before
the date of said meeting, which notice shall be in substantially
the following form:

IMPROVEMENT NO. 17
OLYMPIA STREET DRAINAGE PROJECT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley, Minnesota, will meet at the Village Hall in said
Village on Tuesday, October 4. 1955, at 7:30 o'clock p -.m., to hear,
consider and pass upon all written or oral objection, if any, to
proposed re -assessments in respect of street Improvement No. 17 and
Olympia Street Drainage Project. The proposed re -assessment roll is
now on file and open to public inspection by all person interested in
the office of the Village Clerk.

The entire amount assessed against any parcel of land will be pay-
able, unless prepaid, in eight equal consecutive annual installments,
the first of such installments to be payable with general taxes for
the year 1955, collectible with such taxes during the year 1956. The
first installment will be payable with interest at the rate of 5%
per annum on the entire assessment from the date of the resolution
levying said assessments to December 31, 1955, and"each subsequent
installment will be payable with one year's interest at said rate on
all unpaid installments, except that no interest will be charged if
the entire assessment as to any parcel is paid at the office of the
Treasurer at the Village Hall, within 30 days from the date of adop-
tion of the assessment roll.
The general nature of Street Improvement No. 17 and Olympia
Street Drainage Project is as follows:
Construction of'a storm drain in Olympia Street from Winnetka
Avenue North to Orkla Drive, serving and benefitting the fol-
lowing described area: Golden Oaks Third Addition and Tracts
A, B, C, Dt E, F, G, H, I and J, Registered Land Survey No. 13
in the Northeast 4uarter (NE4) of the Southeast 4uarter (SES)
of Section 30, Township 118, Range 21 Hennepin County, Minnesota.
The area proposed to be re -assessed in respect of said improvement
will include: The above described area.

3. Each and all of the terms and provisions of said form of
notice are hereby adopted as the terms and conditions by which this
Council shall:. -be governed in hearing and passing upon objections to
said re -assessments, as fully as though the same were separately
set forth and resolved herein.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
duly seconded by Member Bies, and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Foss, Rahn, and Stark,
and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said
resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
