#129 09-16-55 Provide Public Hearing Sanitary Sewer ImprovementSeptember 16, 1955 Resolution No. 129. Member Foss 3introduced and read the following written resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a sewer improve- ment within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in para- graph 4 hereof. 2. The Consulting Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed sewer improve- ment is feasible and should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvement, and has given his estimated cost of the im- provement as follows: Proposed sewer improvement, $1,053,743-.00 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed sewer improvement as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two suc- cessive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Vil- lage, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated September 22, 1955, and the second of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated September 29, 1955• Such notice shall be in substantially the following forms 260 VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY HENNEPIN, COUNTY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF PROPOSED SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT (SOUTH TRUNK) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Monday, October 3, 1955, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at Meadowbrook School located at the intersection of Turner's Crossroad and Glenwood Avenue (and not at the Village Hall where meetings are usually held) for the purpose of holding a public hearing on a proposed sanitary sewer improvement as follows: Install- ation and construction of a sanitary sewer trunk system and all things appurtenant thereto located in and designed to serve the following des- cribed escribed area in Golden Valley and certain areas in St. Louis Park through cooperative agreement with St. Louis Park: That area bounded approximately by France Avenue on the East, Floyd B. Olson Highway (6th Avenue North) on the North, Winnetka on the West and Wayzata Boulevard and Douglas Avenue on the South. A complete description is as follows: All that property included within the following described boundary line, to wit: Beginning at a point on the centerline of France Avenue and the south property line of the Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern Railroad right-of-way. Thence Southwesterly along the South right- of-way line to a point on the centerline of Minnesota Trunk Highway Number 100; thence Northwesterly along the centerline to a point on the centerline of Floyd B. Olson Memorial Highway; thence due West along the centerline to a point approximately 380 feet East of the centerline of Jersey Avenue North; thence due North to a point approximately 350 feet North of the centerline of Sixth Avenue North; thence due West to a point approximately 350 feet East of the centerline of Kelly Drive extended; thence due South to a point approximately 150 feet South of the South property line of Glenwood Avenue; thence Northwesterly on a line 150 feet South of the South property line of Glenwood Avenue to a point approxi- mately 150 feet South of the South property line of Sixth Avenue North; thence due West on a line -150 feet South of the South property line of Sixth Avenue North to a point approximately 150 feet West of the West property line of Winnetka Avenue; thence due South to a point on the �j section line approximately 920 feet North of the centerline. of Ridgeway Road; thence due West to a point on the 1/16 section line approximately 440 feet West of the centerline of Hanley Road; thence due South to a point on the 1/16 section line approximately 430 feet North of the centerline of Wayzata Boulevard; thence due East to a point approximately 150 feet West of the West property line of Utah Avenue; thence due South to a point on the centerline of Wayzata Boulevard; thence Southeasterly to a point on the centerline of Winnetka Avenue; thence due South to a point on the South property line of Wayzata Boulevard; thence Easterly along the South property line of Wayzata Boulevard to a point on the centerline of Raleigh Avenue extended; thence due South to a point on the centerline of Douglas Avenue or the South;; Village Boundary; thence due East to a point on the centerline of France Avenue; thence due North to point of beginning. The Engineer for the Village estimates that the entire cost for the im- provement will be $1,053,73.00 of which amount it is presently estimated that the City of St. Louis Park will pay $150,000.00. In conducting said public hearing for making its decisions on the pro- posed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953. All property within the Village which is benefitted by the improvements=is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as follows: All property in the Village located in the above described area and all property located on either side of streets abutting on the above described area including all railroad rights -of -ways and all railroad property. All owners of property in and abutting on said streets and in said area are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing, and to make known their.objections to such proposed improvement, if any there be.
