Resolution No. 155 April
Member Rahn introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:

BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of
M1nnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a street improvement
within the Village as stated in.the form of notice included in paragraph
4 hereof.
2. The Village En#Lneer has reported to the Council advising it in a Pre-
liminary way that the proposed street improvement is feasible and should
best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvement,
and has given his estimated cost of the improvement as follows:
Proposed street improvement: $52,350.00
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form
of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the Purpose of holding a public
hearing on the proposed street improvement as described therein.
4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place,
and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in
the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of
such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated April 26, and
the second of such publicatinns to be in the issue of said paper dated
May 3, 1956. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form:
Notice is hereby given that the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley, Hennepin County, Winnesota, will meet on Wednesday, the 9th day
of May, 1956, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the Village Hall in said Village,
purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed street improve-
ments consisting of grading, graveling, paving with bituminous or other
suitable material, and providing for surfac-e water drainage bn the streets
and portions of streets set forth below: (in conjunction with and as a
part of Lateral Sewer Improvement No. 1)

The cost of said improvement to Golden Valley is estimated to be $52,350.00.
It is proposed to assess the cost of said improvements against all property
abutting on and served by said streets, including all lots and tracts of
land within the following boundaries:
All land within the Village of Golden V alley lying North
of Trunk Highway 55 and East of Trunk Highway 100.
The Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by
Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953, and invites any and all persons to
appear at the time and place of said hearing to be heard with reference
to said improvements.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Teresi and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Bies, Nadasdy, Rahn, Stark, and Teresi; and the foll-
owing voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared
duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested
by the Clerk.
