#167 06-05-56 Amend Rules of Procedure354 Resolution No. 167 June 5, 1956 Member Teresi introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION AMENDING RULES OF PROCEDURE RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, that the Rules of Procedure of the Village Council,..adopted by the Village Council January 6, 1925, be, and hereby are, amended as follows: . 1. Wherever the word "Presidenttt occurs in said Rules, it is hereby stricken and the word "Mayor" substituted in lieu thereof. 2. Wherever the word "Recorder" appears in Rule 1, it is hereby stricken and the word "Clerk" substituted in lieu thereof. 3. The second and third sentences of Rule 1 are hereby stricken therefrom and the following language substituted in lieu thereof: "Regular meetings shall be held at 7:30 o'clock P.M. on the first and third Tuesdays of every month except where such Tuesday falls on a holiday, in which event, the regular meeting shall take place 3 days following; provided further, that where such Tuesday falls on any general or special election day; then the regular meeting shall take place 3 days following. Special meetings may be called by the Magor or by arit.two members of the Council by writing filed with the Clerk, who shall then mail a notice to all the members of the time and place of the meeting, which notice shall be mailed at least twenty-four (24) hours before said meeting." 4. Where the word "Recorder" occurs in Rule 2, it is hereby stricken and the words "Acting Mayor" substituted in lieu thereof. 5. Rules 4, 5, 6, 71 and 9 are hereby rescinded and the other rules re -numbered accordingly. 6. The following rule is hereby adopted: "Rule No. 5. No matter not on the prepared agenda of any meeting shall be considered, except with the unanimous consent of all members present." The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Bies and upon vote being taken thereon, the -following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Nadasdy, Rahn, Stark, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Clerk. 1 I 1 0.
