#177 07-24-56 Award Contract Improvement No. 20Resolution No. 177 July 24, 1956 Member Bies introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT NO. 20 BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota as follows: 1. It is hereby found, determined and declared, that the lowest responsible bidder for work and materials necessary for the construction of Improvement No. 20 are as follows: Name of Bidder Portion of work Base amount Bid on and Accepted of bid Art Bolier Construction Co. Gleason Company Bituminous Stabilized Base Construction $10,621.09 and that the bids submitted by said bidder listed above in all respects in accordance with law and with the published advertisemett for bids with the plans and specifications heretofore approved by this Council and now on file and of record in the office of the Village Clerk, and that the Engineer employed by the Village has recommended that said bid be accepted, and said bidders are hereby accepted. 2. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to make and execute the contracts on behalf of the Village in accordance with the terms of said bids when the bidder shall have furnished the contractor's bond in the amount of the bids, conditioned as required by law. 3. The Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith all such cash deposits, bid bonds or certified checks furnished by other bidders, and to retain that furnished by said contractors until the execution and filing of said contracts and bonds in his office. 4.
