#178 08-07-56 nProvide Public Hearing Sanitary Sewer Honeywell368 Resolution No. 178 August 7, 1956; Member Bies introduced and read the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED LATERAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT (HONEYWELL) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a certain lateral sanitary sewer improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. V 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed lateral sanitary sewer improve- ment is feasible and that it should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvement, and has given his estimated cost of the improvement as follows: Total cost of improvement: $35,000.00 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvement as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated August 23, 1956, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated August 30, 1956. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED LATERAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Tuesday, September 4, 1956, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the Village Hall in said Village, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on a certain proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvement. The Engineer for the Village estimates that the entire cost for the improvement will be $35,000.00. The area to be served by the lateral sewer will be as follows: All that property enclosed in an area beginning at the center 369 Resolution No. 178 (continued) August 7,'1956 line of Medicine Lake Road and the centerline of the Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern R.R., thence easterly to 1651 east of the east line of Douglas Drive; thence southerly to approximately 2001 south of the north property line of Lot 11, Yarnallls Golden Valley Outlots; thence southeasterly along a line parallel to and 1651 northeasterly of the northeast line of St. Croix Avenue to Brunswick Avenue; thence southerly along the west line of Brunswick Avenue to St. Croix Avenue; thence easterly along the north property lines of Lots 4, 5, and 6, Block 8 of Yarnall/s Golden,Valley Outlots; thence southerly to a point approximately 1001 south of the centerline of St. Croix Avenue; thence westerly along the north property lines of Lots 1 and 9. Block 1 and Lot 6 of Block 2 of Brookfair Addition to the centerline of the Minneapolis, Northfield, and Southern R.R.; thence northwesterly along the centerline of the Minneapolis, Northfield, and Southern Railway to the point of beginning. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the Village Council proposed to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the descrip- tion set forth above. All owners of such property in the area and abutting upon the streets described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvement, if any, there be.
