#180 08-21-56 Provide Public Hearing Lateral Sanitary Sewer Improvement General MillsResolution No. 180 August 21, 1956 Member Teresi introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED LATERAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT (#3B - General Mills) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Bouncil of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a certain lateral sanitary sewer improvement within the Village as stated in the force of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvement is feasible and that it should best be made as proposed and not in_connection with some other improvement, and has given his estimated cost of the improvement as follows: Total cost of improvement: $14,500.00 3. The Council shall meet it the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvement as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue.of said paper dated August 23, 1956, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated August 30, 1956. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED LATERAL SANITARY SEXIER IMPROVEMENT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin Coutny, Minnesota., will meet on Tuesday, September 4s 1956, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the Village Hall in said Village, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on a certain proposed lateral sjuitarry sewer improvement. The Engineer for the Village estimates that the entire cost for the improvement will be $14,500.00. The area to be served.by the lateral sewer will be as follows: All that property enclosed in an area beginning A the south line of Bassettts Creek and the east line of` County Road No. 18 (Mendelssohn Road); thence easterly along the south creek line to a point 165' west of the west property line of the Superior County Club; thence 1 1 1 Resolution No. 180 (continued) August 21, 1956 southerly along a line parallel to and 1651 west of the west property line of the Superior Country Club to a point 6601 south of the north line of Section 6, Township 116, Range 21, thence westerly along a line 6601 south of the north line of Section 6, Town- ship 117,.Range 21, to the east property line of Parcel 7500; thence southerly along said property line to the North 16th line of Section 6, Township 117, Range 21; thence westerly along the North 16th line of the east line of County Road No. 18 (Mendelssohn Road); thence northerly along the east line of County Road No. 18 (Mendelssohn Road) to the point of beginning. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the Village Countil proposes to proceed under the -authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improve- ment is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in`the description set forth above. All owners of such property in the area and abutting upon the streets described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvement, if any there be.
