Member Stark introduced the followingresolution n and moved its adoptions
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT AND LAND ACQUISITION FOR
SAID IMPROVEMENT -
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota,
1953, this Council proposes to construct a storm drainage improvement in-
cluding the acquisition of land for said improvement within the Village as
stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising it
in a preliminary way that the proposed storm drainage improvement is
feasible and that it should best be made as proposed and not in connection
with some other improvement, and has given his estimated cost of the improve-
ment as follows,
Total cost of improvement. $6,682.70
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of
notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public
hearing on the proposed storm drainage improvement and land acquisition as
described Grein.
4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place
and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the
Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such
publications to be in the issue of'said paper dated October 25, 1956, and
the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated
November 1, 1956. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form:

HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON PROPOSED STORM E AINAGE IMPROVEMENT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet an. Tuesday, gavember 13, 1956,
at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the Village Hall in said Village, for the purpose
of holding a public hearing on a certain"'proposed stprm drainage-_imprPve-
ment and land acquisition for said improvement.
The Engineer for the Village estimates that the entire cost for the improve-
ment will be $6,682.70.
The area to be served by the storm drainage,improvement will be as follows,
All of Tyrol Hills Addition, except Lots Seventeen (17)
through Twenty-two (22) inclusive, Block Four (4), Tyrol
Hills Addition, and except Lot B, Tyrol Hills Addition.

The land to be acquired for said storm drainage improvement is as follows:
All of Lot A. Tyrol Hills Addition, and the South One
Hundred Sixty (160) feet of Lot One (1), Block Seven (7),
Tyrol Hills Addition, measured at right angles to the
South line thereof.
In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed
improvement, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority
granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended.
All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is
proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the description
set forth Above.
All owners of such property in the area and abutting upon the streets des-
cribed above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and
to make known their objections to such proposed public improvement, if any
there be.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Rahn and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof: Bies, Rahn, Stark, and Teresi;, and the following voted
against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested)by
the Clerk.
