#201 11-13-56 Order Public Hearing Sanitary Sewer Improvement Church of Good ShepherdResolution No. 201 November 13, 1956 Member Teresa -..'.introduced the following resolution and moved its adoptions RESOLUTION ORDERING PUBLIC HEARING - SANITARY SEWER INIl'ROVEMENT (Church of Good Shepherd, Additional Funds required) BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a sanitary sewer improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed sanitary sewer improvement is feasible and should best be made as proposed and not in -connection with some other improve- ment, and has given his estimated cost of the improvement as follows: Proposed Sanitary Sewer Improvement: $6,000.00 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed sanitary sewer improvement as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated November 22, and the second of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated November 29, 1956. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED LATERAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Tuesday, December 11, 1956, at 7:30 Otclock P.M. at the Village Hall in said Village, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on a certain proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvement. The Engineer for the Village estimates that the entire cost for the improve- ment will be $6,000.00. The area to be served by the lateral sewer will be as follows: The Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section Five (5), Township One Hundred Seventeen (117), Range Twenty-one (21). Resolution No. 201 (continued) November 13, 1956 In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed -for such improvement as set forth in the description set forth above. Said sewer will be constructed in proposed Jersey Avenue extended from its present southerly terminus southerly and southwesterly for a distance of 668 feet. All owners of such property in the area and abutting upon the streets des- cribed above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvement if any there be.
