#209 12-18-56 Order Public Hearing Assessment Lateral Sewer1 1 m Resolution No. 209 December 18, 1956 Member Rahn introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ORDERING PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT (Lateral Sewer 1(g)) WHEREAS the Village Clerk has heretofore prepared a proposed assessment of the cost of constructing lateral sewers in Lateral Sewer District 1(g) as the same is laid out in plans and specifications on file in the office of the Village Clerk, and WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been completed and filed in his office for public inspection, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley: 1. A hearing shall be held on the 15th day of January, 19573, in the Village Hall at 7:30 otclock P.M. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 2. The Village Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT (Lateral Sewer 1(g)) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council will meet at 7:30 o'clock P.M. January 15, 1957, at the Village Hall, Village of Golden Valley to pass upon the proposed assessment for Lateral Sewer Improvement l(g), as the same is described and laid out in plans and specifications on file in the office of the Village Clerk. The following is the area proposed to be assessed: Parcel 6800 in Section 33, Township 118, Range 21 - specifically described as follows.- Commencing ollows: Commencing on the west line of Government Lot 2 where the south line of Electric Short Line Railroad right-of-way intersects said line, said point being 272 35/100 feet south from the northwest corner of said Lot 2 thence south along west line of Lot2 to a point equi-distant between said point of beginning and the centerline of Sixth Avenue North or County Road; thence east to east line of Lot 2; thence north to southerly line of railroad right-of-way; thence westerly along same to point of beginning; except Highway right-of-way. ' Parcel 1635 -in Section 33, Township 118, Range 21 - specifically described OD as follows: �1 c1 430 Resolution No. 209 December 18, 1956 Commencing at the northeast corner of the northwest quarter of the southwest quarter; thence south to the north line of State Highway No. 55; thence westerly along said road line to a point in a line parallel with and 4.0 feet northeasterly at right angles from the northeasterly line of Minneapolis., Northfield and Southern Railroad right-of-way; thence northwesterly along aiad parallel line 400 feet; thence southwesterly at right angles 40 feet to said right-of-way line; thence northwesterly along said right-of-way line to the southerly line of Minnesota Western Railroad right-of-way; thence easterly alnng said right-of-way line to the east line of the east line of the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter; thence south to beginning. Parcel 1700 in Section 33, Township 118, Range 21 - Specifically described as follows: Commencing at a point in the southerly line df the Minnesota Western Railway Company right-of-way distant 50 feet east at right angles from the west line of section; thence south parallel with said section line to the northerly line of State Highway No. 55; thence easterly along said highway to a line parallel with and distant 80 feet southwesterly at right angles from the center line of the Main line track of the Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern Railway; thence northwesterly along said parallel line to a point distant 200 feet southerly along same from the southerly line of Minnesota Western Railway Company right-of-way; thence northwesterly to a point in said southerly line of said railway right-of-way distant 200ifeet westerly along same from its intersection with said parallel line; thence westerly along said right-of-way line to point of beginning. Parcel 16.0 in Section 33, Township 118, Range 21 - Specifically described as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the north line of State Highway No. 55 with a line parallel with and distant 80 feet southwesterly at right angles from the center line of main line track of Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern Railway right-of-way; thence northwesterly along said parallel line to a point distant 200 feet southerly along same from the southerlj-.line of Minnesota Western Railway Company right-of-way; thence northwesterly to a point in southerly line of Minnesota Western Railway Company right-of-way distant 200 feet westerly along same from its intersection with said par- allel line; thence easterly along said southerly right-of-way line to the northeasterly line of Minneapolis, Northfield, and Southern Railway Company right-of-way; thence southeasterly along said right-of-way line to a point distant 400 feet north from the north linenof State Highway No. 55; thence northeasterly at right angles 40 feet; thence southeasterly parallel with said right-of-way line distant 400 feet to the north line of said highway; thence westerly along said highway line to beginning except railroad right-of- way. The proposed assessment is on file for public inspection in the office of the Village Clerk. Written or oral objections will be considered at said hearing. { ;. Nadasdy, The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Teresi and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Nadasdy, Rahn, Stark, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Clerk.
