#028 04-16-57 Provide Public Hearing Lateral Sanitary Sewer 4c Hampshire Oaks, Winnetka Ave, 23rd AveC� Resolution No. 28 April 16, 1957 Member Bies introduced and read the following written resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED LATERAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS 4(c) Hampshire Oaks and Winnetka Avenue and 23rd Avenue BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 19532 this Council proposed to construct certain lateral sanitary sewer improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvement, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: Total cost of improvements: $97,390.00 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated May 2, 1957, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated May 9, 1957. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED LATERAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Tuesday, May 14, 1957, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at the Village Hall in said Village, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed lateral sanitary sewer improvements. The Engineer for the Village estimates that the entire cost for the improvements will be $97,390.00 The areas to be served will be as follows: FM; Resolution No. 28 (Continued) April 162 1957 Hampshire Oaks Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 16, Block 1 of Hampshire Oaks Addition, thence easterly to the southern property line of the MN&S Railroad, along said line in a southeasterly direction to the centerline of Douglas Drive, thence southerly to a point approximately 1681 north of the centerline of Olympia Street, thence westerly along a line approximately 168' north and parallel to the centerline of Olympia Street to a point 1001 east of the centerline of Louisiana Avenue extended, thence northerly to the east line of Block 2 of Hampshire Oaks 2nd Addition, along said line in a north and easterly direction to the intersecting point of the west line of Lot 15, Block 1 of Hampshire Oaks Addition, thence north and westerly to the point of beginning. The engineer estimates that the cost of the above improve- ment will be $93,280.00. The engineer estimates that the cost of the above improvement will be $4,110.00. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. Each of said improvements will be separately considered and separately decided upon. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the Winnetka and 23rd In the Northeast ,4, Section 30, Township 118, Range 21, and in the Northwest 4 Section 29, Township 118, Range 21; beginning at a point approximately 1601 north of the South- east corner of the Northeast 1 of the Northeast j of Section 30, Township 118, Range 21 on the centerline of Winnetka Avenue; thence easterly 1831 east of and parallel to the centerline of Winnetka Avenue; thence westerly approximately 4951 along a line approximately 5601 north of and parallel to the south line of the Northwest of the Northwest of Section 29, Township 118, Range 21, and along the north line of Parcel (3100), Section 30, Township 118, Range 21; thence southerly 247.21 along the west line of Parcel (3100) and Parcel (7000); thence westerly approximately 2151 along the north line of Parcel (7000); thence southerly approximately 153' along a line approximately 130' east of and parallel to the west line of Richland Hills; thence easterly approx- imately 4271 to the point of beginning. The engineer estimates that the cost of the above improvement will be $4,110.00. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. Each of said improvements will be separately considered and separately decided upon. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
