Member Bies introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF AND DIRECTING PREPARATION
OF FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF DOUGLAS
DRIVE NORTH (FUND 21-A)
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota as follows:
1. That at a hearing held on this day at 7:30 o'clock P.M., at the Village
Hall in the Village of Golden Valley, after notice of said hearing duly
published as required by law, this Council has consulted the views of all
persons interested and, being fully advised of the pertinent facts, does
hereby determine to proceed with the construction of the improvement of
Douglas Drive North for said Village, in accordance with the description
of said improvement contained in said notice.
Said improvement shall be undertaken in cooperation with the County of
Hennepin to the extent and in the manner deemed necessary and advisable
by the Village Engineer. Said improvement shall be constructed in con-
junction with other public improvements, Fund 21.
2. The cost of said improvement shall be paid out of special assessments
to be levied as set forth in said notice of public hearing.
3. The Village Engineer is hereby designated as engineer for the con-
struction of the improvement of Douglas Drive North, Fund 21-A, and he is
hereby authorized, ordered and instructed to prepare final plans and spec-
ifications for said improvement and submit the same to the Village Council
for approval at the earliest possible date.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Rahn and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following members
voted in favor thereof: Bies, Rahn, Nadasdy, and Teresi
and the following voted aginst the same: None
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed
by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Clerk.
