#043 05-14-57 Provide Public Hearing Water Main Improvement Parkview Terrace1408 Resolution No. 43. May 14,1957 Member Stark introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A CERTAIN WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT (Parkview Terrace) BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a certain water main improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed water main improvement.:.is feasible and that it should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvement, and has given his estimated cost of the improvement as follows: Total cost of improvement: $ 26,000.00. 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed water main improvement as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated June 6, 19S7 , and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated June 13, 1957 Such notice shall be in substantially the followbig form: VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A CERTAIN PROPOSED WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on June 18, 1957 at 7:30 at the Village Hall in said Village, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed water main improvement. 1 Ll 11, Resolution No. 43. (continued) May 14,1957 The Engineer for the Village estimates that the entire cost for the improvement will be $ The area to be served will be as follows: Property abutting on both sides of North Tyrol Trail from its intersection with Wayzata Boule- vard northerly to its intersection with Meadow Lane North and Parkview Terrace; and on both sides of Parkview Terrace from its intersection with North Tyrol Trail and Meadow Lane North, northerly to its intersection with Glenwood Avenue. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the Village Council proposes to pro- ceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the descriptions set forth above, including all property within the described area and/or abutting on streets described above. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed water main improvement, if any there be.
