#054 06-18-57 Commending Representative Lindqusit9 Resolution No. 54 June 18, 1957 Member Rahn introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION I;OMf�1ENDING REPRESENTATIVE LEONARD LINDQUIST WHEREAS, Leonard Lindquist, member of the State House of Representatives from the North half of the 36th District in which the Village of Golden Valley is located, was largely responsible in the recent session of the Legislature for the introduction and passage of legislation deemed necessary and advisable for the good of the Village, by the Village Council, including the following: Chapter 382, relating to property coming into the possession of cities, villages or boroughs and remaining unclaimed. Chapter 450, authorizing the creation of sanitary disposal authorities. Chapter 699, relating to payment of special assess- ments in not more than 30 installments. Chapter 728, relating to eminent domain proceedings. Chapter 845, relating to pledge of cigarette and liquor tax apportionment receipts to payment of bonds. WHEREAS, Leonard Lindquist, in these efforts gave unsparingly of his time and great talent, and WHEREAS, Leonard Lindquist, as a member of the Minnesota State Legislature, has at all times shown himself deeply interested in the problems of Golden Valley, and highly energetic in assisting in their solution, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, that it hereby extends to Leonard Lindquist on behalf of the Village, its sincere thanks and gratitude for his successful efforts, all its best wishes for the future.
