#060 07-02-57 Provide Public Hearing Fund 21i Toledo Avenue bituminous SurfacingMOM Resolution No. 60 July 2, 1957 Member Rahn introduced and read the following written resolution and moved its adoption: "RESOLUTIONS:PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON A CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT" (Fund 21(1) -- Toledo Avenue bituminous surfacing) BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a certain proposed public improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council ad- vising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvement is feasible and that it should best be made as proposed and not in connection with .some other improvement, and has given his estimated cost of the improve- ment as follows t Total cost of improvement: $6,339.00 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed pudic improvement as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause 'notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated July 11, 1957, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated July 18, 1957. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC I PROVEMENTS (Fund 21(c), (h) and (i)) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Tuesday, July 23, 1957,9 at 7130 otclock P.M. at the Village Hall in said Village, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements. The Engineer for the Village estimates that ttie entire cost for the improvements will be $85,757.00. The areas to be served will be as followst 1.56 Resolution No. 60 (continued) July 2, 1957 Storm Sewer and Surface Waters Drainage All of the property beginning at the NW corner of the South I of the NE; thence East to apoint, distant 300 feet West from the NE corner thereof; thence South at right angles 300 feet; thence East at right angles 300 feet to the centerline of County Road 102; thence South along said centerline of County Road 102 to its intersection with the northerly right-of-way line of Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern Railroad; thence northwesterly along the said right-of-way line to its intersection with the West line of the NEI of Section 29, Township 118, Range 21; thence North to beginning except road. Also, all of the South j of the NEI of the NE -41,, Section 29, Township 118, Range 21; also the South 199.55 feet of that part of the North z of the NE4 of the NE4, Section 29, Township 118, Range 21, lying East of the West 657.12 feet thereof. Also, the following described landr Commencing at a point on the East line of Section 29, Township 118, Range 21 a distance of 500- feet South from the NE corner thereof; thence East at a right angle, a distance of 183 feet; thence South parallel to the East line of said Section 29, to a point 132.6 feet North from the South line of Block 11, Yarnallts Golden Valley Outlots; thence West, parallel to the South line of said Block 11, to the East line of Section 29, Township 118, Range 21; thence North along said East line to point of beginning. Also, all of the land bounded by St. Croix Avenue on the North, Douglas Drive North on the West, Minneapolis, Northfield & Southern RR on the South, and Brookfair Addition on the East. Lots 1 through 12,. Block 2, Brookfair Addition. The engineer estimates that the cost of the above improvement will be $45,753.00. Curb and Gutter and Bituminous Surfacing All of the streets in ani abutting on Thotlandts Tw:Ln View Terrace addition. The engineer estimates that the cost of the above improvement will be $33,665.00. Bituminous Surfacing Toledo Avenue from its intersection with St. Croix Avenue to its intersection with Mi.nnaqua Avenue. 1 Resolution No. 60 (continued) July 2, 1957 The engineer estimates that the cost of the above improvement will be $6,339.00. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. Each of said improvements will be separately considered and separately decided upon. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improve- ments is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the descriptions set forth above, including all property within the above described areas and/or abutting on streets described above, whether such property be in the area described or not, and including all railroad property and all railroad rights-of-way. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improve- ments, if any there be. None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Clerk.
