Member Teresi then introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
"RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF AND DIRECTING PREPARATION OF FINAL PLANS
AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT" (FUND 21 (i) -
TOLEDO AVENUE BITUMINOUS PAVEMENT FROM ST. CROIX TO MINNAQUA)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. That at a hearing held on this day at 7:30 o'clock P. M., at the
Village Hall in the Village of Golden Valley, after notice of said hearing
duly published as required by law, this Council has consulted the views of
all persons interested and, being fully advised of the pertinent facts, does
hereby determine to proceed with the construction of certain proposed public
improvement for said Village, in accordance with the description of said
improvements contained in said notice.
Said Improvement is hereby designated as Public Improvement, Fund 21 (1).
2. The cost of said improvement shall be paid out of special assess-
ments to be levied as set forth in said notice of public hearing.
3. The Village Engineer is hereby designated as engineer for the con-
struction of proposed Public Improvement, Fund 21 (i), and he is hereby
authorized, ordered and instructed to prepare final plans and specifications
for'said improvement and submit the same to the Village Council for approval
at the earliest possible dAte.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Rahn and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following members
voted in favor thereof: Bies, Nadasdy, Rahn, Teresi;
and the following voted against the same: None;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by
the Mayor and his signature attested by the Clerk.
By informal action of the Council the Mayor directed that the public hearing
on Fund 21 (c), Honeywell -Douglas Drive Storm drainage be continued and that
the Clerk be instructed to advertise for a new public hearing to be held
August 6, 1957, because of an error in the legal description in the previous
notice caused and committed by the official newspaper.
